We had a hiccup today with my car and it needed some tlc. Rang Dave and he drove round to my house and sorted it in 15 minutes. Amazing service keeping me on the road! What a car mechanic.

We’re back! It’s lovely to see everyone and start with their favourite items (balls) working on our fine motor skills.

Well today was eventful! I’m sharing this with permission from the family.

At lunch time today one of the tots had an allergic reaction to their lunch. Never had one before and has no known allergies.

Tot started with a slight rash around their mouth and went very quiet. No tears or upset and KEPT EATING!

I removed the food and monitored. Within another minute a rash had spread across face.

I sprang into action (calmly) and tot was being assessed at JCUH very quickly for a nasty allergic reaction. Tot is fine and his family was so calm and capable in a crisis. Well done team! They very kindly brought me some flowers and a hug from super tot later this afternoon.

I’m sharing this just to highlight the importance of SITTING with children whilst they are eating. Choking and allergic reactions can happen and out of nowhere!

We found this at the park today. We think it is a pigeon egg (apologies to anyone with better egg knowledge than me). We looked at my wildlife book and talked about the life cycle of birds. Lots of super learning.
