Rosedene Guisborough provides the highest level of full day care for children aged 6 weeks - 11 years. Registered for 50 children, Rosedene Guisborough provide care for children and have funded places available through two year old funding and a nursery education grant. Established in 2003, Guisborough has long serving members of staff and was recently awarded an outstanding inspection from Ofsted.

Sunshine, sandwiches and smiles were on the menu this week as we brought together International Picnic Day and Father's Day for a special nursery celebration.🧺🍎🧀

The children were excited to welcome their family members into our nursery for an afternoon of picnics, play and quality time together. It was a lovely way to celebrate the important role that fathers and father figures play in children's lives, while also encouraging children to enjoy the simple pleasures of spending time outside with the people they love most.

It was wonderful to see so many families making memories and celebrating the special relationships that help children grow and thrive. 💙

To celebrate World Bee Day, the children enjoyed reading lots of bee-themed stories and learning all about these important little insects. 🐝🌼

The books encouraged curiosity, listening, communication, and language skills as the children talked about the stories. They especially loved looking at the pictures and learning how bees help our environment and the foods we eat every day.

With the weather getting nicer, we’ve been making the most of our beautiful nursery garden and spending lots of time outdoors! ☀️ Our children have loved exploring, playing, and learning in the fresh air.

Outdoor learning in the early years is so important, it supports physical development, encourages creativity and imagination, boosts wellbeing, and helps children build confidence as they explore the world around them. 🌼

🌻 Planting Sunflower Seeds 🌻

This month, our children became little gardeners as they planted their very own sunflower seeds. They carefully scooped soil into their pots, showing great focus and control, before gently placing their seeds inside and covering them up. Our children took pride in their planting and were excited to begin their growing journey.

As part of the activity, we talked about what plants need to grow, including sunlight, water, soil, and care. This experience supported the children’s understanding of the natural world, while also developing their fine motor skills, patience, and sense of responsibility. Watching their sunflowers grow will continue to nurture curiosity and a love for nature. 🌞🌿
