Little Lambs Child Care Guisborough is a unique little setting where children play learn and are nurtured in away that brings out there full potential of been kind caring well mannered little people. We are based at our new setting in a Victorian terraced cottage close to the town Centre but equally a stones throw away from our beautiful country side
where we explore play and learn in nature.

I take the children for walks with our Fox red Labrador Honey, up into the North Yorkshire country side we go on lots of adventures including up to the pond where we explore pond life with our fishing nets, make dens in the wood and go off the beaten track on our own adventures,

I also have a horse called Charlie where she is kept at the local stables and we visit her and learn about how we care for her. We also have cat called Brian,

I have a number of years experience of childminding as well has having my own three grown up children and now a Nanna to my first grand child Sophie, who was born at 24 weeks gestation so she is our miracle baby, as I myself lost my first baby at this stage in pregnancy who we named Sophie'

I provide a safe and happy environment for children from young babies and
We have a purpose built play room with a large range of toys and educational equipment for all ages and stages of children's development. Out doors we have a large garden with a separate area for the children to play we have a mud kitchen with sink pots pans and utensils to make mud pies lotions and potions and anything the children could imagine, we have a dinosaur safari, diggers dumpers and a construction site, sand and water play, out door painting crafts and lots of nature based activities to keep them busy. My opening hours are from 9am until 5.00 pm
Cost varies depending on what is required. I have five weeks holiday in the year usually one week in Spring two weeks in July / August and the other two I take off at Christmas, open all other times except bank holidays,

We’ve had another lovely week full of fun, adventures and outdoor play at Little Lambs! 🐑💚

We’ve spent lots of time exploring the garden, enjoying trips to the park and having adventures around the beautiful Priory grounds. 🌳🍃

The children have loved having the freedom to run, explore, discover and learn through play, building their confidence, independence and physical skills along the way.

So many happy little faces, new experiences and special memories made together. 🥰🌿

Here at Little Lambs Child Care Guisborough, we believe that a love of books can begin from the very earliest days of a child’s life. ❤️

We wanted to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an incredible programme that gifts books to children from birth to five years old, helping families share the magic of stories together.

Dolly’s passion for encouraging children to read is truly inspiring. Through the Imagination Library, little ones can grow up surrounded by stories, imagination and opportunities to learn. 🌈

Reading together is about so much more than learning words. It helps children develop language and communication, listening skills, concentration, imagination and a lifelong love of learning. Most importantly, it creates those precious quiet moments when a child and grown-up can simply enjoy a story together. 🥰

Just a little insight into what we’ve been up to during the six-week summer holidays! ☀️🌿

We’ve had such a busy and enjoyable summer filled with learning, exploring and making memories through play. 🐑💛

From exploring the outdoors, bike riding and visiting local agricultural shows, to trips to the park and discovering our local community, there have been so many opportunities for the children to learn and develop.

We’ve been learning our colours and numbers, developing our physical skills and confidence, exploring nature and the world around us, as well as enjoying plenty of singing, dancing, imaginative play and lots of laughter! 🌳🚲🎶🌈

We enjoyed a wonderful adventure at Flatts Lane Park yesterday and explored the branch walkway at Guisborough Forest today. The children had lots of fun playing and discovering the natural world around them. We searched for frogs and pond habitats, went bug hunting and used books to help identify different creatures and insects.

These exciting outdoor experiences encouraged curiosity, supported language development and helped the children learn more about wildlife and the habitats in which they live. Exploring the woods also developed their physical skills, problem-solving abilities and understanding of the world around them. 🌿🐞🐸🍃🐑🐑🐑🐑

What a fun-filled week we’ve had at Little Lambs! 🌿🐑

From exciting adventures and messy play to lots of laughter and new discoveries, our little lambs have had the best time exploring, learning and making wonderful memories together. We’ve enjoyed spending time outdoors, getting creative and watching friendships blossom.
