Close range Knife threat work this evening with the chance the bad guy might try to stab. Looked at control and counter options, running away and off course the possibility of simply giving them what they want and surviving. Sometimes NOT fighting it's the best option, but if that's not possible, knowing some s**t, effective skills can safe your life.

Self Defence training is about more than just the physical skills. That's why all of our classes teach age appropriate awareness and avoidance skills plus physical & verbal de-escalation and breakaway skills.
Understanding the dynamics of violence is critical in knowing when to safely walk away. It's always better to not fight than to fight.
Looking forward to the class this evening. On Monday we looked at dealing with wrist grabs when on the ground with the bad guy in mount, this evening we're jumping up to dealing with the bad guy lifting us up from behind in a great hug.

We understand that it’s more important to be able to detect and defuse any potential situation before you need to defend yourself. Using scenario based training, combined with education on the legal, moral and psychological aspects of self defence, we aim to give you a fully rounded education that isn’t just reliant on your physical skills but also gives you the ability to spot potential issues, the verbal skills to defuse them and the physical skills you need should push come to shove.
