Good old fashioned fun
Hurtwood House Summer School is a well-established five week language course set in beautiful English countryside only an hour from London. We pride ourselves on being different from the average summer school by offering 15 hours of creative and innovative lessons a week with a strong focus on “learning by doing”. Students learn through carefully curated activities and games that take place both in and out of the classroom and work together to complete a different project each week with themes as varied as film production, song writing and pizza making!
Our activities selection is second to none. At Hurtwood you have the opportunity to spend your afternoons paint balling, go-karting, horse riding, paddle-boarding, rock climbing or doing yoga. Our in-house activities include bubble football, treasure hunts, colour runs and inflatable obstacle courses. When we leave campus it’s to see the sea in Brighton, explore historic ships in Portsmouth, visit the Queen’s castle in Windsor and explore the great city of London. We take our students on trips to trampoline parks, woodland zip-lines, the West End, the cinema, theme parks and......the list goes on!
