It has certainly been a challenging few months for us all. Homeschooling was certainly an experience, for me as much as you!
As I have been running my sessions virtually I have not been posting photos of the activities we have been doing.
However, that does not mean we have not all been working hard. I am so proud this week to hear of the amazing reports and feedback the children have all had from their teachers.
After a very difficult year they are all thriving and doing so well. It is a credit to the children and their parents for all they have done together.
I was extremely surprised and lucky to receive these beautiful flowers as a 'thank you' from one family.
In return I need to say thank you to all my families. It has been my privilege working with you all and in the early days of lockdown it was just fabulous to see everyone's smiling faces on the screen and to have some normality an hour at a time. I really looked forward to all my sessions.
To my pupils, you are all absolute stars. You have been heroes this year and I am very proud of you all. Keep up the amazing work. You all deserve the fabulous reports you have received this week. Well done.🌟🌟🌟

Received a beautiful surprise today as a 'Thank you,' from a tuition family. To have played a small part in achieving a great result has been my pleasure. It is the reason that I love what I do, giving children a little more confidence than they had before, so that they can continue to achieve as they move along their educational journey.

As we all begin to prepare ourselves for another half term of homeschooling please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are concerned about a particular issue or would just like support in providing more structure for the half term ahead.

I currently work with pupils from Year 1 through to Year 7 focusing on Maths, English and phonic skills.

Please message me if you would like to discuss how I can help support you and your child.

Thank you.

500 Word Competition Update:
I received a message today from one of my students that their story has been selected to go through to the second round of judging! I am so thrilled for them and have everything crossed that they go through to the final 50.

With all the latest developments with the Corona virus I have decided that it is much safer for everyone if my tuition sessions are carried out online. First ever online lesson this afternoon! Thank goodness for technology allowing some degree of normality to continue in these unsettling times.

This week a number of my families have had Parents Evenings. I am so proud of all my pupils. They have all had fabulous reports and it is down to their hardwork at school and applying what we cover in our sessions to their school work. To hear that they are all making progress, some outstandingly so, reminds me how privileged I am to support these children and help them on their journey through school. Well done team. You can do it! 🥳🎊🎉🥇

Yr 7 session reviewing aspects of writing a biography. Using a question to open the piece of writing provides a useful structure to refer back to when composing your final paragraph. This biography is all about Bear Grylls. Did you know he was the youngest person to climb Everest in 1998 age 28?
Biographies have to be written in the past tense using the third person. Think about including time phrases, adverbials and interesting quotes about the person's life.
