Join Guildford Borough Community Wellbeing Team for their FREE Summer Edition PlayRangers Event at Sutherland Memorial Park on Thursday 13th August, from 1:00pm–3:00pm!

Bring the whole family along for an afternoon of outdoor fun, including:

Dad Matters Surrey are excited to be offering another free, online, Surrey-wide new dad workshop! 🎉

If you're an expectant or new dad with a baby under 12 weeks old join them to answer any questions you might have and learn more about:

🔸 Mum’s and dad’s mental health and wellbeing
🔸 Coping with a crying baby
🔸 Supporting your partner
🔸 Where to go for help, advice and support

This could be your first baby or perhaps you’re just looking for reassurance - either way this workshop will help build your confidence and give you an opportunity to connect with other dads.

Going to school is a big transition for our little children.

At nursery we have supported this transition by:

👩‍🏫 Role-playing going to school
🎒 Wearing school uniforms and bookbags
📚 Reading books about going to school
🏫 Visiting our new schools with our key people
📖 Having booklets, pictures with our new teachers.

These are some things you could also do at home to support your child:
👕 Letting them wear the uniform at home
🚶 Walking to school to get familiar with the journey
👀 Looking at the school website together
📕 Reading books about going to school

BabyStops, which launched earlier this year, is an interactive map that helps you find baby-changing facilities nearby. Their mission is to map every baby changing spot across the UK so you can travel with confidence.
