We're thrilled to announce that Guildford Nursery School and Family Centre will lead the newly created Surrey and Hampshire Early Years Stronger Practice Hub β and we're recruiting!
π― We're looking for:
β’ Stronger Practice Hub Leader (start ASAP)
β’ Early Years Stronger Practice Advisers
π‘ What is the Early Years Stronger Practice Hub?
Funded by the Department for Education, our hub will support the development of knowledgeable and nurturing early childhood educators across Surrey and Hampshire. We'll share evidence-informed practice, provide professional development, and build networks of educators committed to improving outcomes for children β particularly those facing disadvantage.
π₯ The Hub Leader role:
You'll provide strategic leadership for our hub, driving the adoption of evidence-informed practice and strengthening professional development across the early years sector. You'll join a national network of hub leaders, working collaboratively with the DfE, partners, and other hubs across England to ensure every child has the best start in life.
π₯ The Early Years Stronger Practice Adviser role:
As an adviser, you'll work directly with settings to deliver bespoke, face-to-face support through coaching, modelling best practice, and reflective conversations. You'll help settings embed evidence-informed approaches, support children with SEND and EAL, and build sustainable improvement through clear action planning and ongoing professional development.

The Early Years Coalition has launched a survey to gather feedback on the draft revised edition of Birth to 5 Matters β the sector's valued early years guidance.
The draft includes updates across all sections, plus new content on sustainability, digital pedagogy, and age-specific approaches for babies, toddlers, two-year-olds, three-to-four-year-olds, and Reception children.
