Less than one month to go until we open the doors to Pips & Seeds.

Earlier this summer, we were delighted to pass our Ofsted inspection, officially confirming the opening of our new baby rooms.

We are thrilled that Pips & Seeds is now full for this September intake, and it has been lovely to spend time with families at our settling-in sessions over recent weeks.

Everything is almost ready, and we cannot wait to share one final look with you soon before our very youngest learners join us next month.

We are looking for a warm and organised School Secretary to become the welcoming face of Rydes Hill School.

This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our school, where you will be the first point of contact for our pupils, parents and visitors.

Before the summer holidays began, Forest School was still keeping everyone busy.

Our Oaks children enjoyed learning all about planting. Each of them chose a pot, filled it with soil and carefully watered it before taking it home to look after.

Pre-Prep finished the term with a special treat, making their own people using marshmallows and other sweets. The children came up with some very creative designs, meanwhile our school dog Cody looked on very patiently...

Our pupils made the most of the summer weather with some lovely activities before the holidays.

The children had lots of fun at our summer party on the lawn with picnics, bouncy castles and refreshments.

Reception also enjoyed dressing up for Mexico Day, tasting Mexican food and creating artwork inspired by the legendary Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.

We hope you are all enjoying the summer break so far.

At the end of term, our Acorns, Oaks and Pre-Prep pupils celebrated their achievements at Prize-Giving.

The children received certificates recognising their strengths across our Five Cs: Creativity, Collaboration, Curiosity, Communication and Courage. We also enjoyed songs from the children and a chance to look back on the year through photographs.

A special moment was seeing our Year 2 pupils ring the Rydes Hill bell before moving on to their next schools. We are incredibly proud of all our children and everything they have achieved this year.

Before the end of term, our Nursery and Pre-Prep pupils enjoyed their Sports Days.

Our Pre-Prep children spent the afternoon at the Urnfield, making the most of the first-class facilities as they took part in races, hurdles, long jump and throwing events.

Nursery Sports Day took place at our main site, where the children enjoyed their own races, throwing activities and water races on the lawn.

A huge thank you to our sports teachers for organising the events, the parents who came along to support, and the Tormead Senior Sports Leaders who kindly helped on the day.
