Well done to our GSA ACTORS students who took part in an exciting international creative collaboration in Verona, Italy, with students from and FAKULTET DRAMSKIH UMETNOSTI 🎬🎭, coming together across borders to explore and create a response to Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Collaborations like this offer such a valuable opportunity to share ideas, learn from different perspectives, and experience the power of making work together. We’re so proud of our students for embracing this international exchange and bringing their creativity, curiosity, and talent to the project.
Thank you to the BA (Hons) Acting Programme Leader, Jaq Bessell, Andrea Coppone, Marta Bjelica, and everyone involved!

Congratulations to MA Acting Programme Leader Dr Darren Tunstall, and writer-director Stacha Hicks on Dys is Me winning Best Mise-en-Scène at the Brighton Rocks Film Festival, a BIFA-qualifying festival celebrating bold, innovative filmmaking.
Co-produced by Darren and shot across multiple GSA locations, Dys Is Me was made in collaboration with GSA staff, students and alumni, and offers a movement‑driven exploration of living with dyspraxia, focusing on the emotional and physical negotiations people make when the world isn’t built with them in mind. Both actors in the film have dyspraxia, and the project was developed through research, real stories and dance‑based character work.
Following its Best Social Impact win at the London Independent Film Festival, we're proud to see this powerful collaboration continue to receive the recognition it deserves. Congratulations to everyone involved!
