Our GSA Evening Dance Classes are back this autumn, open to adults aged 18+. You don't have to be a GSA student to join us, everyone’s welcome!

Whether you’re looking to build your confidence, sharpen your technique or simply enjoy dancing with a vibrant community of performers, our classes are led by experienced industry professionals who know how to get the best out of every dancer.

October 1st marks the first day of UK Black History Month! All through the month, GSAColours and GSA Student Society have a line-up of events to celebrate “The Art of Black Voices” through music, dance, film, and poetry workshops!!

Art has been a way to preserve culture, resist erasure, and imagine what’s possible. When we highlight Black voices, we honour the people behind the art, not just the art itself. We recognise their creativity, and their influence on the world around us. And we make space for those voices to be heard, not only this month, but always.

The GSA Singers are a company of 2nd-year students presenting a fully staged programme of music from musical theatre and popular classics. Welcome to the 2026/27 academic year! We’re delighted to begin another year at GSA, with a new cohort joining our community and an exciting year of creativity, collaboration and opportunities ahead.

This year, we’ll build on an incredible 2025/26, which saw us celebrate 90 years of GSA, take our work to international stages, celebrate our students and alumni, and strengthen connections across our global creative community.

Bookings for our Pre-Audition Courses are now open. Designed for aspiring performers aged 17+ who are preparing to apply to drama school, you’ll develop your audition skills through practical sessions including:
• Mock auditions and constructive feedback
• Audition technique and performance coaching
• Guidance on song and monologue choices
• Acting, voice and movement work
• Advice from experienced GSA tutors
• Support with confidence, presentation and audition preparation

These intensive two-day weekend courses are designed to help you prepare for drama school auditions, whether you’re applying to GSA or other conservatoires.

Congratulations to Fiona Zhu (朱芾), MA Musical Theatre graduate and one China's most recognised musical theatre performers, on the London premiere of "Herstory in History" - a Chinese original solo musical she developed during her time at GSA. Following its London premiere, "Herstory in History" will also be presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe:

The production follows two women across two timelines: a contemporary musical actress, and a princess from classical Chinese history whose fate has been written and rewritten for centuries. Performed entirely in Mandarin by Fiona alone, it brings Chinese storytelling and a modern-day reflection on it to UK stages. It is a journey that grew directly out of Fiona's training at GSA, from the ideas developed in the rehearsal room to the confidence to build a production of her own.

And just like that... Summer Conservatoire 2026 is a wrap! Young performers from 15 different countries came together at Guildford School of Acting for a summer full of acting, singing, dancing, creativity, new friendships, and plenty of fun.

We welcomed students from the Netherlands, UAE, Turkey, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Ireland, the USA, Spain, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Peru, Czech Republic and the UK.

A huge well done to everyone who took part. We’ve loved having you here at GSA and we hope you’re heading home with great memories, new friends and a whole lot of inspiration.
