This summer, several of our Year 11 and Year 12 students joined RGS Guildford on an unforgettable expedition to Nepal.

The students spent time exploring Kathmandu before travelling to Besisahar in the Lamjung District, home to our link school, Bhu Pu Sanik. The expedition offered a wonderful opportunity to experience a new culture first-hand, with the local food proving to be a particular highlight!

During their time at Bhu Pu Sanik, the students painted murals, planted shrubs and enjoyed joining the students for football and traditional local dancing. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect and share experiences with the school community.

A huge thank you to Adventure Lifesigns and everyone at Bhupusainikschool, Waling for hosting us so warmly. We had an unforgettable time and cannot wait to return soon!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic set of results from our A Level Class of 2026, with every single student with a confirmed offer having secured their university place.

Whilst results were excellent overall, there were some exceptional results in STEM subjects, and these speak to the strength of our all-girls' education at A Level. Our Further Mathematicians achieved an outstanding 100% of grades at A*/A, and our Mathematicians and Chemists achieved 84% of grades at A*/A. Our Sixth Form students wanted to show their appreciation for the incredible Business Staff who work behind the scenes each day, so they wrote and delivered thank you cards across the school.

To everyone who keeps Tormead running smoothly - from our premises, catering, cleaning, IT, wellbeing, finance and reception teams, to all those working quietly behind the scenes - thank you. We couldn't do it without you.

While many of our staff are busy over the summer getting the school ready for a new academic year, exciting refurbishment work is also underway across the site. Keep an eye out for a progress update on our new Sports Centre coming soon!
