Tormead School

This summer, several of our Year 11 and Year 12 students joined RGS Guildford on an unforgettable expedition to Nepal.

The students spent time exploring Kathmandu before travelling to Besisahar in the Lamjung District, home to our link school, Bhu Pu Sanik. The expedition offered a wonderful opportunity to experience a new culture first-hand, with the local food proving to be a particular highlight!

During their time at Bhu Pu Sanik, the students painted murals, planted shrubs and enjoyed joining the students for football and traditional local dancing. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect and share experiences with the school community.

A huge thank you to Adventure Lifesigns and everyone at Bhupusainikschool, Waling for hosting us so warmly. We had an unforgettable time and cannot wait to return soon!

These include the Urnfield Sports Ground, featuring its own MUGA astroturf pitch and athletics track; the JCS Auditorium with professional theatre-quality lighting and sound and recording studio; specialist textiles studios and innovative 3D printing laboratories; and our outstanding Sixth Form Centre.
