The Sixth Form brought book characters to life in a dazzling parade during our morning Assembly. Their creative costumes lit up the day, entertaining the entire school!

We immersed ourselves in a captivating 'Story in a day,' sharing different sections to classes throughout the day. At break and lunch time we hosted collective Book Swap and wrapped it up with a thrilling Treasure Hunt organised by the English Department. Students deciphered clues and tracked down staff with their favourite books, all with laughter echoing through the halls.

Huge shoutout to our incredible students for their passion for books and storytelling and to the staff that joined in with the costume parade! 🌟📚

This evening we'll have specialists from each field sharing their different career journeys, offering advice and valuable information to students interested in pursuing a career in these areas.

Our A-Level Biologists experienced first-hand field techniques and exploration of the local habitats while on a trip to the Slapton Ley Field Study Centre. The unspoilt and picturesque coastline of South Devon provided our students with the opportunity to expand and develop their practical skills, helping them to understand the ecological world around them. There were a few wet feet, but nothing to dampen to spirit our young scientists.

This week our Sixth Form opened its doors for students and their families to explore the huge range of academic and co-curricular opportunities on offer at Tormead. The evening featured focused Q&A sessions for all 24 of the A Level subjects we offer, along with a chance to see our new Sixth Form centre, meet the staff and talk to some of our current Sixth Form students. Along with academic studies, Tormead's Sixth Form offers a wide variety of co-curricular and enrichment activities for students including producing and directing school productions with the younger year groups in Drama Club, sports tours to Malaysia, volunteering at local schools and charities, and collaborating with RGS for expeditions to Vietnam and Basketball Club, not to mention the Winter Formal.
