British School Of Rock - Guildford
British School of Rock Guildford combines expert tuition with the joy of actually playing in a band each week alongside your friends.
We welcome singers, guitarists, bass players and drummers and believe passionately in music's ability to enhance a young person's confidence and happiness. It is so much more than an 'activity'. An appreciation of music and the ability to play an instrument is a gift that lasts a lifetime. Playing in a band takes that one step further, building essential life skills including confidence, communication, cooperation, negotiation and, of course, friendship.
British School of Rock (BSOR) is suitable for children aged 6-18 with any ability. Alongside expert tuition we provide the opportunity to play in a band each week which makes our classes so different - and such fun!
Under the tutors' direction, each one hour session ends with all the students playing together for 15 minutes, playing a range of material from rock classics to the current charts. Classes are structured and disciplined with a maximum of five students to each specialist tutor. Each session is one hour long. After 45 minutes of intensive coaching everyone takes off their headphones, winds up the volume - and the band rocks for the last 15 minutes of the class!
