Our 40th anniversary celebrations continued at Burpham Nursery, bringing together children, families and team members to mark this special milestone.

From creative activities and games to plenty of cake and shared smiles, it was another wonderful opportunity to celebrate the community that has helped shape Burpham over the years.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the occasion so memorable. Here’s to the next chapter of the Christopher Robin story.

Our Cranleigh Owls had an exciting surprise during their bug hunt this week – a garden toad! 🐸

The discovery sparked lots of curiosity as the children learned about where toads live, what they eat and how they grow. They then enjoyed drawing their own toads and hopping around the garden just like them.

It’s these unexpected moments of exploration that help bring learning to life and encourage children to develop a deeper understanding of the natural world.

🍯🐻 The celebrations continued at Wood Street Village as we marked 40 years of Christopher Robin Day Nurseries with a magical Winnie the Pooh-themed party.

Inspired by the Hundred Acre Wood, children enjoyed imaginative activities, sensory play and plenty of opportunities to explore, create and have fun with their friends. From thoughtful details to joyful moments shared together, it was a wonderful way to celebrate this special milestone with our nursery community.

A huge thank you to our team for bringing the magic to life, and to all the families who joined us for the celebrations.

Meet Becci and Mel, our wonderful Nursery Managers at Wood Street Village. Between them, they have dedicated an incredible 32 years to supporting children, families and colleagues across Christopher Robin Day Nurseries.

Becci is celebrating 19 years with us, while Mel recently marked her 13-year work anniversary – a remarkable achievement and a reflection of the passion, care and commitment they bring to their roles every day.

Thank you both for everything you do. Our nurseries are stronger because of people like you.

🎉 Celebrating 40 Years at London Road 🎉

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 40th anniversary at London Road Nursery last weekend with a special garden party for our families.

Children enjoyed face painting, temporary tattoos, mask making and a range of creative crafts, while our lucky dip proved to be a big hit. There was also plenty of fresh fruit and delicious cake for everyone to enjoy together.

Most importantly, it was a lovely opportunity to bring our nursery community together and celebrate the families, children and team who have been part of our journey over the years.

Today, we’re celebrating Sophia, our Nursery Manager at London Road. Sophia joined Christopher Robin in 2001, became Nursery Manager at Merrow in 2010, and went on to lead the team into our London Road setting in 2015.

With a wealth of experience and qualifications - including an NVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education, Montessori training, and leadership in early years practice - Sophia brings knowledge, passion and commitment to everything she does.
