SENSORY WATER PLAY
Looking for a simple summer activity to try at home? Water play is a lovely way to cool down, reset and have fun on a warm day.
Set up a sponge squeeze tray by filling a shallow tray or tub with water, then adding sponges in different shapes and sizes. Encourage your child to squeeze, pour, fill and empty cups or jars.
Through play, children can explore cause and effect, build fine motor strength and practise coordination.

It’s always lovely to get outside over the summer. Why not try a Makaton Nature walk? See which of these things you can find on a walk to your local park, in the garden or forest.
Help your child recognize the symbols and signs to encourage communication.

What a wonderful school year it has been for Jax!
Throughout the year, Jax has been a friendly and familiar face around school, spending time with students, greeting everyone at the start and end of the day, and bringing plenty of smiles wherever he goes. He has also made lots of friends among our bus drivers and escorts, often accompanying students as they head out to their buses.
We are incredibly proud to share that Jax has recently completed his final Therapy Dog assessment. We are now eagerly awaiting the results and hope he has successfully passed, ready to begin the autumn term as a fully qualified Therapy Dog.

To our Pond Meadow community: thank you. Your support, kindness and encouragement mean so much.
Have a wonderful summer — we’ll see you back on 7 September. School closes at 2pm today.

As another fantastic school year comes to a close, we were proud to celebrate some of our Post-16 students as they prepare for their next adventures.
Our Leavers’ Graduation Assembly was a very special occasion, celebrating how much each student has grown and the wonderful impact they have had on our school community.
We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and wish them every success and happiness as they begin the next chapter of their journey. Good luck — we will miss you all!
