🏺 Should we ever have opened the Ancient Egyptian tombs, or should we have left them undisturbed out of respect for the dead?KS2 spent part of Friday afternoon debating this fascinating question as part of their Ancient Egypt learning. The children considered the discoveries made by opening the tombs alongside the importance of respecting the people buried inside. 💭

What do you think? Should the tombs have been opened? 🔍

🪨 Year 3 and 4 have been enjoying some hands-on science, making their own coffee fossils as part of their rocks unit! ☕ This creative activity helped the children explore how fossils form and how they can give us clues about living things from long ago. A lovely mix of learning, creativity and messy fun! 🔍🌿

🌿 William Morris-Inspired Printing 🌸

Our KS2 artists have been busy creating prints inspired by William Morris! The children made their own motifs using polystyrene and foam, before printing repeated designs using a colour palette inspired by Morris’s work. We absolutely love their beautiful creations! 🎨

👀 Stay tuned to see our finished William Morris display!

Grindleton C.E. visits Grindletots!

Our wonderful Year 5 and 6 pupils had a lovely morning visiting Grindletots, our local baby and toddler group, at Grindleton Pavilion. The children spent time reading stories to the little ones, joining in with activities and playing alongside them. It was wonderful to see our older pupils showing such kindness, patience and care and there were lots of smiles all round!
