🎤 Speeches: 6.15pm, 7pm and 7.45pm

🚗 Please note: There will be no vehicle access or parking at the school or surrounding lanes during the Open Evening. A free Park & Ride service will operate from Clitheroe Auction Mart from 5.45pm.

What a wonderful morning celebrating fantastic GCSE results with our Year 11 students, their families and staff. So many smiles and some tears of joy as they opened their envelopes. Congratulations to you all!

We very much look forward to welcoming our students back to school in September and seeing them experience the improvements first hand.

From improvements to our internal spaces and a new outdoor dining canopy, to repainting and enhancements to safety and security, these improvements will make a real difference to our school environment. It is fantastic to see Trust investment going into our buildings and helping to create spaces that work well for both our pupils and staff.

REMINDER:
❗FREE SCHOOL MEALS ARE CHANGING

Important Changes to Free School Meal (FSM) eligibility introduced by the Department for Education, which will take effect from the start of the new academic year in September 2026.

In fantastic news for many families, the government has expanded the Free School Meal eligibility. From September 2026, Free School Meal eligibility has been expanded:

Targeted FSM: Continues for households receiving Universal Credit with annual earnings of £7,400 or less.

Expanded FSM: A new eligibility category for pupils receiving Universal Credit who do not meet the Targeted FSM earnings threshold.

These changes mean our school and the Local Authority are required to conduct an annual re-check for every pupil. If we do not have a newly validated check on file ahead of the autumn term, your child’s FSM eligibility may be interrupted.

Even if your child currently receives FSM, or if you believe your circumstances have not changed, you must complete this re-check in order to continue receiving free school meal provision.

Registering for Free School Meals does more than just secure a healthy lunch for your child. Targeted FSM funding also unlocks vital extra Pupil Premium funding for our school. This money is used directly to fund extra teaching support, learning resources, and extra-curricular activities. Even if your child prefers packed lunches, registering helps support their education.

What a brilliant way to end the school year!
All students took part in the colour run, and also raised funds for Milly’s Smiles. The weather was perfect and thank you to the PTFA who also came and sold ice- lollies to the thirsty runners
The school council tuck shop sales raised well over £450, a magnificent amount, we are still counting the money from the colour run donations.
