The fabulous aircraft displays are just one part of the Armed Forces weekend in Cleethorpes, with lots of other military based attractions and the parades through the town, supported of course by our traders and people providing great entertainment and family fun.

But have you ever wondered what planning goes into the air displays?

We've had a chat with Cleethorpes-born Roger Steele, who makes air displays around the world come to life, and works with our Armed Forces team to help bring the aircraft to our Armed Forces Weekend each year.

Each year, Roger occupies Ross Castle, and is the Flying Display Director for weekend. But it's not just the weekend, there's months of preparation work ahead of that.

Sit down, grab a cuppa, and enjoy the read!
