🌼🐣 Easter Fun at Nursery! 🐣🌼

The children have had a wonderful time taking part in an exciting egg hunt in the garden! They will be coming home with Easter bags filled with treats throughout the week.

We’ve also enjoyed lots of fun Easter-themed activities, keeping everyone busy and smiling! 🎨🐰

Just a reminder that the last day for our Easter bonnet competition is tomorrow. Winners will be chosen at 2pm, so please make sure all entries are in on time.

We can’t wait to see all the fantastic creations! 🐣🎩✨

As the holy month of Ramadan begins, we would like to send our warmest wishes to all the children, families, and staff in our nursery community who are celebrating.

May this special month bring peace, reflection, kindness, and precious time spent with loved ones.

❤️Spreading Kindness This Valentines Week ❤️

This morning our pre-school and toddler room children have been busy making valentines cards and decorating biscuits for our local residential home.

The children were so proud to create something special to share with others in our community. Its been a lovely opportunity to talk about kindness, caring for others and spreading happiness.

We've had such a busy and exciting week across the nursery! The children have enjoyed lots of wonderful activities including:
🧧Celebrating Chinese New Year
🌙 Lunar New Year
❤️ Valentines Day crafts
💛🩵Colour Monster activities to promote children's health and well-being and this afternoon the children will be making pancakes and of course taste testing them 🥞.

It has been fantastic to see the children exploring emotions, creativity, culture and community through play and hands on experiences. 🦋

📚We're so excited to celebrate World Book Day at nursery!❤️📚

On Thursday 5th March 2026, we are inviting all children to come dressed as their favourite book character. We can't wait to see all the wonderful costumes and celebrate our love of stories together!

If this date isn't your child's usual session, don't worry - children are very welcome to dress up on any day throughout that week.

We will also have a selection of costumes available in nursery for children to access, so please don't worry if your child doesn't have one at home.

These photos show what our toddler room children have been up to this week – they've been super busy!

The children have had lots of fun creating Valentine's crafts, exploring themed playdough, and even making Gruffalo crumble inspired by our book of the month, The Gruffalo.

They've also been enjoying bucket time sessions, which help to support and develop the children's communication and language skills through shared attention and engagement activities.

It's been a fun-filled and creative week so far in the toddler room.💛

Here at Butterflies we offer an affordable breakfast and after school club, at just £3.50 per hour (breakfast and tea included)! We offer drop off and collection to Oasis Nunsthorpe, and work closely with Woodlands Academy to offer drop off and collection there too! 😊
