A huge thank you to Ibstock for their generous donation of bricks to the Grimsby Institute. 🧱

These materials will support our Brickwork students as they develop their practical skills, giving them even more opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a realistic working environment.

The donation will also play a valuable role in student projects and activities throughout the year.

Thank you for supporting the next generation of construction professionals as they build their future.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved campus cat, Kevin, at the age of 16.

A rescue cat who found his forever home with us, Kev became a familiar face around campus and a cherished part of the Animal Care department.

Thank you to everyone who helped give him such a happy and loving life. Kevin will be greatly missed and fondly remembered 🐾

Be Seen. Be Safe.

Wearing your lanyard at all times while on campus is a vital part of keeping our college community safe. It helps staff and students easily identify who should be on site.

Please remember that wearing your lanyard is mandatory around campus.

Help us keep campus safe. Don't forget... wear your lanyard.

💡 Could an apprentice be the next great addition to your team?

If you're a small business considering apprenticeships - or you're simply curious about how they could work for you - join us at the Federation of Small Businesses' Business Bootcamp: Small Business, Big Talent on 12 October.

This FREE event is designed to give small businesses practical information they can actually use, including:

🔹 Funding and support available
🔹 How to recruit and develop new talent
🔹 Advice from apprenticeship and skills experts
🔹 Real experiences from local businesses
🔹 How apprenticeships can help tackle skills gaps and support growth

Our TEC Partnership Business Engagement team will be there too, with Chloe Tate and Tim West sharing their expertise and helping businesses understand the support available when taking on an apprentice.

📅 Monday 12 October 2026
📍 Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa
🕘 9am–3.30pm

Sponsored by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP).
