Earlier this week Year 4 took part in an exciting Viking workshop delivered by Havelok's KingdomβοΈ
The children learned all about Viking life, including the food they ate, the goods they traded, and how Vikings settled in Grimsby. They explored the important role Vikings played in shaping the early history of our local area and discovered how trade helped communities grow and thrive.
It was a fantastic opportunity to bring history to life, spark curiosity, and deepen our understanding of the fascinating Viking world. We were incredibly proud of the childrenβs enthusiasm and engagement throughout the day!

As an academy, we have been working towards the AwardPlace Wellbeing Award throughout this academic year, with a focus on promoting and supporting the wellbeing of our pupils, staff, and wider school community.
At the beginning of the year, many of you kindly completed a wellbeing survey to share your views and experiences. We are now reaching the final stages of the award process and would greatly value your feedback once again to help us measure the impact of the work we have undertaken and identify any areas for further development.
We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey using the link below:
https://app.awardplace.co.uk/stakeholder-evaluations/user-survey/6a301f868447e
Your responses are important and will contribute to our evidence for the AwardPlace Wellbeing Award, as well as helping us continue to improve the wellbeing support we provide across the academy.
Thank you for your time and continued support. We appreciate your involvement in helping us create a positive and supportive environment for all members of our school community.
The survey will be open from today and we ask that you feedback to us by Tuesday 23rd at the latest.

π As you are aware, we are currently working towards achieving the Wellbeing Award for Schools, a nationally recognised accreditation that recognises our commitment to positive mental health and wellbeing across the whole school community. π
For Old Clee, this means creating a culture where pupils feel safe, valued and heard, staff wellbeing is prioritised, and families feel connected and supported.
As part of this journey, Mrs Kinnaird, Mrs Hazelwood-Collins and Miss Webster are working closely together to drive this important work forward, meeting regularly to review provision, evaluate impact and identify ways to further strengthen wellbeing across our school.
At OCPA, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do because we believe:
π When children feel safe and supported, they learn more effectively. When staff feel valued and respected, they are better able to support others. When families feel connected and involved, the whole school community becomes stronger.
