🦷✨ Brush, Brush, Brush!✨🦷

As part of their Marvellous Me topic, Reception have been learning the poem Brush Your Teeth! The children enjoyed retelling it using actions and put on a fantastic performance. 👏🎭

They have also been learning all about how to keep their teeth healthy, including the importance of brushing twice a day for two minutes and visiting the dentist. 🪥😁

🍂 Harvest Festival 2026🍂

Our Harvest Festival will take place on Thursday 15th October. We are kindly asking for donations of tinned and packet food to support a local food bank. 🥫❤️

Donations can be brought into school from Tuesday 6th October. Thank you for helping us support our local community! 🌾🍁

🌈 Exploring Feelings with The Colour Monster!🌈

Over the past few weeks, Nursery have been enjoying the wonderful story ‘The Colour Monster’, using it to explore different emotions and learn how our feelings can be represented by colours. 💛💙❤️🩷🖤💚

They have been encouraged to share what different feelings look and feel like to them, as well as discussing what might make them feel a certain way and how they can manage those emotions.

The children have also created their very own Colour Monsters, experimenting with lots of different ways to make marks, including painting with mashers, creating bubbles, rolling marbles, sticking and colouring. 🎨✨ They even sorted colours into emotion jars, just like in the story!

It has been a fantastic opportunity for the children to develop their creativity while building their **emotional awareness and confidence in talking about their feelings**. 🌈😊

🌟 Celebrating Personal Achievements!🌟

A huge well done to Esmae and Phoebe, who have both been celebrating fantastic personal achievements outside of school! 👏🏆

⚽ Esmae received a trophy for being an awesome goalkeeper at her football club. She says her favourite part is stopping the goals from going into the net! 🧤⚽

💃 Phoebe received a trophy for her hard work and determination in remembering her dance routines. She loves listening to the music and remembering which moves she needs to do! 🎶✨

It’s wonderful to see our pupils working hard, enjoying their hobbies and achieving their goals. Well done, Esmae and Phoebe!🌟👏

⚽ Y5/Y6 EFA Girls’ Football Competition⚽

What a fantastic day for our girls at the Y5/Y6 EFA Competition at Clee Fields, hosted by North East Lincolnshire School Sport Partnership🌟

The team were full of excitement ahead of their opening game and put that enthusiasm into every tackle, narrowly losing 1-0 in an end-to-end thriller. They faced some quality opposition throughout the tournament, battling hard and showing great determination in every game. 💪

The team then secured their first win, with Lilly scoring a fantastic hat-trick to earn a brilliant 3-0 victory!

Growing in confidence with every game, the girls went on to win their 5th place play-off, finishing the tournament with a fantastic record of 2 wins and 3 losses👏

We are incredibly proud of all the girls. They gained some valuable tournament experience, played with smiles on their faces and demonstrated brilliant sportsmanship throughout. 💙

🔢 Maths in Action!🔢

6RT have been putting their addition skills to the test! As they moved into problem solving, the children worked collaboratively, sharing ideas, explaining their thinking and supporting each other to tackle some tricky Year 6 challenges. 🧠💡

It was fantastic to see everyone working together, persevering and showing that sometimes two (or more!) heads really are better than one!👏

🚀 Year 5 Blast Off with the Planetarium! 🌌

Year 5 had an out-of-this-world experience with a visit from The Planetarium!🌍✨

The children took an amazing journey through space, discovering fascinating constellations, galaxies and our incredible Milky Way. They learned all about gas planets and dwarf planets and even got to imagine what life might be like as an astronaut! 👩‍🚀👨‍🚀

A fantastic opportunity to explore the wonders of space and spark some curious minds! 🌟🔭
