Our second week at Gardening club was super busy!....We talked about different fruits 🍇 and vegetables 🥕 and how they grow. And not only did we get to taste 😋 some strawberries 🍓 and peas 🫛 , but we've planted our very own 🙂

We talked about the life cycle of a butterfly 🦋 and have our very own catterpillars 🐛 to watch transform.

The warmer weather is on its way 🙂 🌞. We love getting out in the fresh air 🍃 feeding the ducks, exploring and playing on the park with our friends 👫

We thoroughly enjoyed our first gardening group and can't wait for the next one. We helped plant a beautiful flower garden for the butterflies 🦋 and bees 🐝 and made a feeder to hang in the garden.

🎄⛄️🌟 It's beginning to look alot like....Christmas🎄 ⛄️🌟

The children👫 get so excited 😊 when it's time to decorate 🌟 the setting. It's fantastic for supporting their gross and fine motor skills, the amount of times the tree decorations 🎄.. window stickers ⛄️ will be taken off and put back on.. constantly using their imaginations💡.. displaying their creativity; while developing their language skills by talking to each other.. colours 🎨.. numbers 🔢.. textures. Yes they fall out too! They disagree! but that's okay, it's all part of learning 🙂

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Donna Nook with our friends to see 👀 the Seals 🦭 we talked about the difference between the cows, the bulls and the pups.....the children 👫 talked 👄 about how soft and cuddly the pups looked.

We were also very lucky to see some aeroplanes ✈️ practicing which was amazing 👏 even though they were very loud 😀

What a fabulous time we had visiting our local farm 🐄 We got to meet and feed lots of different animals and have a cuddle with a rabbit and guinea pig 🐇

We learned how some vegetables🥒🍅 grow and we couldn't believe how big the pumpkin plants were 🎃

Understanding the World Around Us 🌎 is one of the four main areas of learning outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage! ...So YES it is absolutely necessary for the children to visit our local Holiday Park and join in the outdoor entertainment 🕺💃 🤭

Spending time in nature does wonders for children's health ❤. It improves their mood 🤯 and supports their general well being 🧘‍♀️

Ask the children what they would like to do and you can almost guarantee they'll chorus...PARK!!! 🛝😃

We're blessed with so many different playgrounds in our area, all within a short distance from each other 🚶🚗

Playgrounds provide children with so many learning opportunities through play. Supporting their physical, social 👫, emotional, cognitive and imaginative development. Exercise 🪜 is so important for their health ❤️ and wellbeing 🌳 while the environment encourages their independence 🙂

Who would have thought learning could be so much fun 😃

🫖☕Tea, coffee....one sugar or two? ☕🫖

The children used their senses to explore the ingredients.

They used a variety of equipment to mix...pour...transfer 🥄 🍶 🥣

tea bags, coffee beans 🫘, orange slices 🍊, sugar, milk and water 💦

🌸 A petal or two may also of made the mix 🙂🌸

☀️💦 🏖️ SUN, SAND, WATER 🏖️ 💦☀️

What a fun filled day we had 🙂

Our day began at the sandpit 🏖️, the children enjoyed digging holes, building Sandcastles 🪣 and burying their toes in the sand

On the pirate 🏴‍☠️ ship they climbed, played hide and seek and slid down the slide

We fed the geese 🦆 who then tried to chase us when we ran out of food 😳

We followed on to the paddling pool where we cooled off 💦.... splashed and had fun in the water 🐞

We ate a yummy picnic 🍓🥪 and finished off our trip with a delicious icecream🍦😋

There were a few very tired children on the way home 🚗 😴
