Introducing Wholesome Workshops
At People Make Grimsby

Regular monthly sessions, chill out for a bit, drink tea, eat biccies, have a natter and zone out doing something fairly low-impact on the brain but good for the soul.

Our first session is with Kat aka Letters from Poppy, where she will guide you to write your first Letter Exchange Letter. Spend two relaxed hours putting pen to paper, getting creative and opening the door to new connections.

Perfect for beginners, with no writing experience necessary. Pens, pencils and envelopes will be provided.

Festive linocut printmaking workshops

We're delighted to have Sarah Bennett return to People Make Grimsby, Freshney Place to deliver two festive themed workshops.

Get creative with Sarah and learn how to make a set of printed cards using lino in this hands-on session.

Sarah is a freelance printmaker and illustrator based in the Lincolnshire Wolds. With 10 years of experience in printmaking, Sarah takes her inspiration from historical and fantasy art.

Remember the Butterfly Bomb Exhibition at People Make Grimsby, Baxtergate, Freshney Place opens tomorrow. and will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, until 18th June.

Another look at our community cyanotype project
for TheCultureHouse

Part of Our Future Starts Here supported by The National Lottery Community Fund

This was a real team effort and a lot of fun!
We experimented with the cyanotype process and used a variety of materials to create these large scale fabric pieces. It was a great opportunity to chat about our relationship with the sun while harnessing its powers to develop our images. And very lovely to get outside and be creative 🌞
