Monday in the caterpillars 🐛🐛

This week is space week 🚀🪐🛸
The children have enjoyed painting their own rocket using a range of different colours whilst we sang “zoom zoom to the moon” 🌑 🚀 We then explored the rocket and astronauts set up with the aliens 👽 We enjoyed splashing in the water in the garden and exploring the moon rocks! We created our own planets and stars for the solar system 🪐⭐️

A marvellous Monday in the ladybird 🐞 room. We have practiced our early literacy story telling skills whilst playing with some fairies and flowers in the sand tray. It was a great opportunity to practice our language. We have been working our physical fine motor finger muscles to roll and mould the play dough. Outside whilst practicing our physical skills we spotted birds in the tree busy making a nest, we enjoyed watching the birds flying in and out. Some children helped to pick some of the tomatoes that we have been growing together all summer. We engaged and worked together to build a very tall tower and some children made a castle. A great day all around.

Monday in the bumblebee room 🐝

This week we are taking part in space week 🚀🌙. We have some really exciting activities planned for the week, to start it off we have had the rockets and planets in the small world area 🚀🪐. We have also have created some brightly coloured stars in the paint area 🌟🌟.

We have really enjoyed making monsters using different coloured paints, hand prints and eyes 👀✋. Today in the foam we mixed different colours with foam to see what rainbow we could create 🌈.

The bumblebees had a lovely time completing puzzles of different vehicles 🚗

Friday in the ladybird room! Today we have been using our imaginations to create different structures with the magnetic tiles. We have been practising our fine and gross motor skills using a variety of tools on the playdough and emptying and filling in the sand. We have also been looking at the books independently turning the pages and talking about what we can see.

Thursday in the Caterpillar Room🐛

We have explored the super fun and messy foam tuff tray, using the foam to stick the bricks together. We also enjoyed feeling the foam rub together in our hands!👏😆
This afternoon we have had lots of time outside in the sunshine; creating sandcastles, splashing in the water and riding our scuttle bug bikes!☀️🚲
