The Caterpillars have had a great day using the cotton buds to paint their monkeys 🙊 We loved playing outside in the garden 🌺 and using the brushes to mark in the glitter ✨ 🐛💚

Today in the ladybird room we’ve had lots of fun getting outside in the sunshine. We’ve been exploring our new road signs in the bike area and talking about what they all mean. We’ve enjoyed splashing around in the water tray and pouring and filling water into different containers and funnels. We’ve also enjoyed rolling the big tyres and different sized hula hoops around the garden and practicing our hula hooping skills.

Inside we’ve enjoyed getting messy whilst exploring a tuff try of shaving foam using different scoops and pots to make foam ice creams! Some of our friends have also enjoyed playing with cars in the small world corner and also building big towers and models with the megablocks in the construction corner.

Today at Laceby acres 1/3 the children did lots of building, we did singing and dancing and enjoyed playing with the Barbie’s and dolls house.

Monday in the bumblebee room 🐝

The bumblebees have had a lovely day today 😊☀️.
We really enjoyed playing in the garden, especially when all the children had a race seeing who could run the fastest using red and green hoops to signal when to go or stop🏁!

They really enjoyed exploring the eggs in the messy tray and using the scrapers to mix the colours together to make yellow foam 🍳. They really enjoy exploring the texture in their hands and seeing what will happen when they mix the colours 🤲.

We really enjoyed using our imagination with the wooden blocks and diggers to make a construction zone 👷🏼🚜. Today using the playdough we made different flavoured cupcakes 🧁. The bumblebees used the duplo to make different structures and buildings 🧱.

We used lots of different and vibrant colours as well as cotton buds to create a colourful rainbow 🌈.

We also had a superstar of the day for doing amazing at squiggle group time ⭐️⭐️

The Bumblebee children have had an amazing day⭐️🐝

The children have been using the peg boards to match the coloured patterns to the pictures using our colour matching skills🌈

The children have been practicing their fine motor skills in the play dough using the cutters to see what patterns we can make! ✂️

The children have also been playing in the rainbow fish tray 🍝🌈🐟 using the coloured pasta sheets to create their own fish!

This afternoon at group time the children have had lots of fun learning about The King 👑visiting Grimsby! We watched lots of videos about which places The King visited, and discussed where he lives and what his role is!🤴🇬🇧

We also had a great time pretending to be The King’s guards, we marched around the room and used the instruments to make our own sounds and tunes whilst marching! 🥁🎺🎷🪇

Today in the caterpillar room the children have loved getting busy with construction work 🚧🧱we have helped the diggers get into the work grounds and load up with supplies. We have then created our own Peas linking to the book of the week runaway pea. We have used our fine motor skills to glue and stick to create the perfect pea🫛 We even enjoyed some juicy strawberries and grapes at snack which was a super treat 🍓🍉
