🌟 OFSTED 🌟

We are SO happy to be able to finally share our Ofsted report! While it will be published online in the next 5 working days, I can now share it with parents via email 🥰

What they’ve said:

💚 Leaders are tenacious about improving outcomes for all children regardless of their backgrounds

💚 Leaders and staff make an awe-inspiring impact on the wellbeing and welfare of children
with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those facing barriers to learning, or
children with a social worker

💚What it’s like being a child at this setting: Children are greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by staff who know them exceptionally well. Staff take time to talk to parents and share any information that may affect the child's experiences at the nursery. The staff's affectionate and caring approach ensures that children settle quickly into the nursery's routines. Experienced and knowledgeable staff teach children to understand their emotions and introduce clear boundaries for them to follow. Children know that they are listened to, and staff take a genuine interest in what children are telling them. This helps children to feel safe and secure.
The nursery curriculum is securely embedded in staff's teaching and planning. It ensures
children have the emotional resilience to build positive relationships with staff and children.
Children's learning and development are sequenced to ensure they do not miss any vital
milestones in their learning. All children, including those with special educational needs
and/or disabilities, barriers to learning, or a social worker, make excellent progress from their starting points. They benefit from activities that support their communication and language
skills. Staff skilfully introduce new vocabulary during play, embedding children's learning
through repetition and recall. For example, staff use children's love of books to introduce
new vocabulary. Children learn the meaning of key words, recall stories and then apply this
language and understanding in their play. This helps children to develop a love of stories
and extends their growing vocabulary.

Shared from our lovely friends at Little Twinkles Childcare!

We hope everyone has had a lovely weekend ☀️ It looks like another heatwave is heading our way next week, and we will do our best to keep little ones cool while they are at nursery. This will include plenty of water play , shade and fans in the rooms where needed. ⭐

This has definitely been me this week!
I will be working through all the Facebook work messages on Monday so if you’ve not had a reply yet, don’t worry it’s just because I need the diary before I can book in any new children 🥰💕

I will be sending out job offers on Monday too so if you’re still waiting to hear from me expect an email by then 😁

I will also be advertising our remaining September spaces now I have completed all my visits and know what we have left (spoiler: there is definitely 3 days available in our 0-2s room 🫣)

We haven’t posted many pictures recently! Don’t worry I will be getting on top of that again today, but I wanted to share with you a bit about what has been going on behind the scenes 🤫

Firstly, we have had a huge amount of new resources arrive! After being inspired by Nicholson’s theory of loose parts and exploring the Waldorf approach to learning, we have introduced loose parts exploration across our Day and Dusk rooms, and provocations to play that inspire curiosity of the natural world 🌎 This has been working incredibly well in providing a slow pedagogy and works alongside our Hygge ethos. Our Dusk room especially has thrived and with support from our Maths Champions Claire and Vicky we have seen a huge rise in maths attainment and development 🧮

Secondly, we have been designing resources with the support of ERIC to promote toilet training for our children in receipt of EYPP as part of our ongoing target to increase school readiness. These are almost ready to go out to parents and hopefully if they are successfully we will be aiming to roll these out to all children in the setting that need it 💛

Thirdly, as many of you know we had our Ofsted inspection last Monday! We have had a few parents message to ask the outcome of that, and while we can’t share it just yet, we can say we was very happy with our outcome and feedback. The staff worked incredibly hard (as always) and we are incredibly proud of them. We anticipate our report will be published in the next week or two and we will be sharing it on our page and via email to all parents 🥰

Finally a little shout out for all the incredible experiences the children are provided by outside services and in house by our trained staff! We are so grateful to be able to offer:
