Sunday recharge.

Soaking up a much-needed Sunday recharge along the Cleethorpes coast. 🌿🌊
Spent four hours taking in the sea air, watching a stunning display of silk flags, and connecting with the incredible ecosystem right on our doorstep.
Through a local session hosted by The Culture House GY , we tuned into a fascinating talk on the migratory bird species that rely on this vital stretch of UK coastline. With binoculars in hand and headphones on, scanning the horizon was a powerful reminder of how rich, dynamic, and fragile our coastal environments really are.
Moments like this make you appreciate just how deeply interconnected we are with local wildlife—and why protecting these natural spaces matters so much.
Feeling completely fulfilled, grounded, and grateful for the wild beauty we have right here. 💚

Off to Skipton for a well-earned break. 🌿
I’m starting to feel like my new anxiety medication is helping, which feels like a quiet win. It’s been a really tough few months for my family and me, and I’m deeply grateful that they understand what I’m going through. My close friends have been an amazing support too, even when it’s hard to explain why I need to step back, refocus, and slow down compared to what I can handle when I’m feeling well.
When anxiety takes over, my brain goes into complete overdrive—it feels like being stuck on a relentless hamster wheel with zero ability to rest, even when my mind and body are begging for it. I know it’s hard on the people close to me too when I get hyper-vigilant or panic over ordinary, everyday activities.
This has been a recurring journey for me, and right now, I’m just trying to practice self-compassion to heal.
To anyone living with anxiety or depression—especially when it sneaks up on you just as you thought you were coping—please know you aren’t alone. Recovery is slow, and it’s a process I often wish didn’t exist. But our brains simply weren’t built for the nonstop demands of today’s world. If you’re struggling, remember: you are not the problem.

🪡 Good stitching, great chats, and... "interesting" jackfruit! 🪡
We kept it cool at mindful slow stitch this morning! It was wonderful having a gentleman join us, plus one of our originals from back when we started at Nasturtium Bistro & Restaurant in 2023.
Two hours flew by chatting about The Good Life (a TV series from the 1970’s) and trying new things (though none of us are rushing to buy tinned jackfruit again anytime soon! 😅).
