Acting Lincs

Week 1 of Acting For Screen classes complete in Grimsby, Lincoln and Scunthorpe and we can now reveal the trilogy of titles our company of actors will bring to life.

These short films will be shot in various locations across Lincolnshire leaving our audiences with one question......... Whodunit?

Last night our Lincoln Group returned to class at the Lincoln Arts Centre and commenced work on their Acting For Screen journey.

The first part of our Acting For Screen course see's out actors flex their acting muscles in technical exercises prior to heading out on to location to shoot a short film.

And the WINNER of the 2026 SILVER SPHERE AWARD for ACHIEVEMENT IN COMEDY is......... ANN FORWARD

The award was presented to Ann at our recent Silver Sphere Awards held under the spotlight of Helios at the Grimsby Minster made possible by the award sponsors TheCultureHouse

Ann is an incredible comedy talent and since joining Acting Lincs Grimsby Group has performed in Beyond Boundaries at The Plowright Theatre and filmed two short film with us, Birds Eye View and Grimsby Has No Culture both of which are available on our Youtube Channel and well worth a watch. Ann is also part of the team at PQA Cleethorpes

Ann was presented her award by Grimsby Based Theatre Practitioner and co founder of Red Sail Poetry Open Mic Night's, Sam Dunham.

And the WINNER of the 2026 SILVER SPHERE AWARD for BREAKTHROUGH ACTOR is............ Lindsey Elliott.

A massive congratulations to Lindsey who has shown incredible growth as an actor in the last 12 months. Also her increased confidence and professional approach to class work make her the perfect winner. Lindsey collected her award from current Mrs UK World Jen Atkin at our recent award ceremony held at the Grimsby Minster which was made possible by our sponsors TheCultureHouse

And the WINNER of the 2026 SILVER SPHERE AWARD for ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSICAL THEATRE is.......... Abbie 'Rose Johnson

Abbie has had an outstanding year with Acting Lincs excelling not just in Musical Theatre but also her acting for stage and screen work. She has sung solo in all three Acting Lincs showcases and filmed two short films with us, SLAP & Birds Eye View available on our YouTube Channel. Outside of Acting Lincs she has appeared in Think Twice for Cleebridge Films and Anything Is Possible for Louth Riverhead Theatre.

The award was presented to Abbie by International Recording Artist and Grimsby born Michael Dore.

We are thrilled to introduce the first three of our new line up of patrons here at Acting Lincs CIC - Our patrons are committed to support our work in shining the spotlight on Lincolnshire based talent both professional and hobbyist level.

Heather Greenwood - BAFTA nominated Film & TV Producer Heather is the founder of Location Lincs and the Managing Director of Keal Production's. Heather share's our passion for supporting Lincolnshire based talent in their creative journey.

Amanda Beckman - Leading UK talent agent and Managing Director of Amanda Beckman Associates, Amanda represents artists in major theatre, film and television projects. Amanda has visited Acting Lincs in person, shared her knowledge and experience and plays an important role in sourcing opportunities for our actors.

Lisa George - Original Acting Lincs Patron Lisa has now become a member of The Board Of Directors here at Acting Lincs CIC but also retains her position as patron. Lisa plays a pivotal role in the running of Acting Lincs with a hands on approach to the training of our actors.

We will be revealing further patrons that span the creative industry and support our work in the coming weeks.

The course starts off in the studio covering acting for screen techniques, prior to heading out on location locally to shoot a short film. The course is delivered by award winning industry professionals. Each two hour session costs £12 with discounts available for advance payment.
