I’ve been using bilateral thinking exercises with some of my pupils to help with their cognitive function.

Why am I doing it?

Better Problem-Solving: Merges factual, linear analysis with big-picture creativity to find innovative solutions.

Cognitive Flexibility: Helps you switch easily between strict rules and open-ended exploration.

Emotional Balance: Calms emotional intensity by engaging the rational prefrontal cortex alongside the brain's emotional centers.

Stronger Neural Connections: Strengthens the corpus callosum—the bridge connecting both sides of the brain—supporting overall mental agility and memory.

Is spelling a tricky topic for you or your children?

A busy day today. Trying to master subtraction with exchanging. A simple solution to his errors was to count on from the smallest number rather than back from the biggest. This is simple for some but when you are neurodiverse things don’t always make sense. A lot of drilling and he’s ready for the next step.
