Student Wellbeing will be closed on Monday 31st August 2026 and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 1st September 2026.

During this time you can still access support from multiple sources:

• Counselling support from Lena by Inspire, which is accessed by calling their 24/7 helpline 0800 028 5510 or by emailing [email protected] (not 24 hour)
• If you are in distress or crisis contact Lifeline 0808 808 8000 (www.lifelinehelpline.info)
• The Samaritans listening ear helpline 116 123 (https://www.samaritans.org/)

Born between 2 July 2007 and 1 July 2008, or under the age of 25 and heading to a residential college or university this autumn for the first time?

If so, then before you pack your bags, take a few minutes to get your MenB jabs – it’s one of the simplest things you can do to help protect yourself.

Those eligible can get vaccinated from today at their GP practice, or at a participating community pharmacy.

Two doses of the MenB vaccine given at least four weeks apart are needed for the maximum possible protection.

Are you starting (or continuing) a full-time undergraduate course in September 2026? You can apply now for your Student Finance!

Visit www.studentfinanceni.co.uk to create or log in to your account and complete your application. New students are strongly recommended to apply by 30 April 2026.

Most students can receive a basic rate of student finance without any household income information. Your parents’ household income information could mean you can borrow more, and in some instances, receive additional grants.

Please note, if you wish to have your student finance assessed on your parents’ income then they must input their details online, including their National Insurance (NI) numbers, at the time of you completing your application. Student Finance will use the NI number to check parental income directly with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

In order to submit information online, parents need to create their own Student Finance NI account or use their existing account which will then be linked to your account.

If you told us on your UCAS or direct application that you have a disability, long-term medical condition, or received additional support or extra time in exams at school, Student Wellbeing may have emailed you a link to complete an Additional Study Needs (ASN) form.

It’s important to complete this form as soon as possible, so we can have your support in place for the start of the new semester to help you achieve your academic goals.
