My name is Lisa and I offer fun, informal and stress free learning to all KS2 and KS3 children.
If you have a child who lacks confidence or is needing additional educational support than my sessions are exactly what you need.
Prioritising your child's mental health and confidence in learning is my plan for every session.
I cover a wide range of topics from the core subjects to the more unique; giving all children the opportunity to learn outside and inside the educational curriculum box. Without the pressure, stress or standatory targets.
With 7 years experience in Tutoring/supporting children with SEN and low confidence, I have more spaces available to help other children and their families with their home education journey.
I offer the following classes-
🤴British History-Working our way through the British Timeline from the prehistoric period to Modern day History. Discovering the life and times of different periods from the Anglo Saxons, The Vikings and more.
🌏Geography- Each week we research and discover facts about a different countries. We discuss different cultures, architecture, habitat, beliefs and more.
📸 Photography and Editing- Using camera phones and editing apps students will experiment with lighting, posing, filters and creating professional photos.
📢 Life Skills- Covering subjects not taught on core subjects students will learn about important life skills needed in adulthood. From Food Safety, Highway Code, business management and more.
✏️Sketch- Using a wide range of drawing/Sketching techniques children will create weekly work helping them build a portfolio of Student lead art work.
🧬Science- Working our way through core topics covering Chemistry, Biology and Physics for KS2 and KS3 science. Looking at the world around us and answering some very important questions, from "is there other life in space?" and "why are worms so important to life on earth?"
🖋Creative Writing- With so many different genres of writing to explore, each month student's have the opportunity to try their hands at story writing. Venturing through sci-fi, fiction, horror, Mythical and more.
📊Maths- Tackling mathematical problems, equations and topics gradually through building confidence in numbers.
🌏World History- Each term we venture through other countries Historical timelines. We learn about the progress in building empires, their struggles, achievements and the monumental historical moments that have shaped the countries we know now.
👩🍳Cookery- A delicious selection of sweet and savoury dishes made from scratch. Students will learn to create and bake a selection of recipes each week.
🧚♂️Mythical Madness- The world is home to some of the most amazing/interesting Mythical creatures/folklores in history and in this class we learn about them all.
🦝Zoology- There are hundreds of amazing unique creatures on our planet and our Zoology group will be learning about each and every one of them from the tiny Soldier ants to the Shoe Bill Stork. Building fact based posters about each animals habitat, features .
