We hope you’ve all had a fantastic summer filled with fun, laughter and lots of lovely memories! 💛

Today, our staff are busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for the new school year — preparing classrooms, planning exciting learning, and taking part in professional development so we can continue to give our children the very best experience. 📚🌟

And now… the countdown is nearly over! ⏰🎉

We can’t wait to welcome all our Year 1–6 children back through our doors tomorrow morning at 8:40am. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces, meeting new ones, and getting the new school year off to a brilliant start! 🥳

📍 Drop-off and collection information will be shared with families via ClassDojo this afternoon, so please keep an eye out for the message.

💕 A little note for our Reception families: Reception children have their own personalised start dates and times, so please check the information you have been given.

Feed and Read Pop-Up Library at School!

We're delighted to be hosting a Feed and Read Pop-Up Library, run by Norfolk Library Services, here at school during the summer holidays.

The library will be open Wednesday from 10:00am–12:00pm on the following dates, (access through main gates by the market).

22th July
29th July
5th August
12th August
19th August

Families are invited to come along and enjoy:

📖 A great selection of library books to borrow
🎨 Fun craft activities
🎲 Games for children to enjoy
🥪 A free lunch for every child who attends

This is a fantastic opportunity to keep children reading, playing and learning over the summer while enjoying a free meal.

We look forward to seeing lots of families there!

🌟 Exciting Holiday Club Coming to Our School! 🌟

Looking for a fun and active way to keep your child entertained during the school holidays? 🎨⚽🎭

We're delighted to welcome Hunter's Sports Coaching, who will be running an action-packed Holiday Club here at our school!

The club offers a fantastic range of sports, games and activities, giving children the chance to stay active, build confidence, make new friends and have lots of fun throughout the holidays.

We are very excited to be working again with Norfolk Library Service to support our children’s reading over the summer. Reading to and with children and supporting independent reading little and often makes a big difference to your child’s confidence and skills when they return to school in September.

A great way to do this is for your child to join the Summer Reading Challenge at the local library [or our school pop-up library on Wednesday mornings]. It is fun, it is free and it is fantastic! Reading not only helps your child get on at school, but it can also help with mental wellbeing and emotional development. In September we will be holding a special achievement assembly for all those children who took part and completed the challenge over the summer in school. We are looking forward to seeing all the brilliant certificates and medals awarded and will be giving out book tokens to those who complete the challenge.

☀️ What a fantastic School Summer Fayre! ☀️

A huge thank you to the Priory Family Friends for organising such a wonderful event.
It was brilliant to see so many families come along and enjoy the afternoon. The school was full of smiles, laughter and plenty of community spirit.

Without doubt, one of the most popular attractions was the chance to soak Mr Rust (Deputy Head) and Mr Dunne! 💦 Safe to say they were absolute troopers… although we’re fairly certain the staff were just as keen as the children to make sure they got thoroughly drenched! 😂

Thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered and helped make the day such a success. 🎉

☕🎉 Year 6 Celebration! 🎉☕

Our Year 6 children enjoyed a special celebratory trip to Starbucks this morning to mark the end of their time with us.

A huge thank you to Starbucks Great Yarmouth for generously providing this wonderful treat. The children had a fantastic time, and it was a lovely way to celebrate an incredible year together before they move on to their next adventure.
