The stunning Autumn colours and newly trimmed yew hedges make this a wonderful time to visit How Hill. The Secret Gardens are open every day and the House Gardens will be open from Sunday for half term.

The Wherry Experience package (Sept 5th - 9th) includes three days of sailing on both a pleasure wherry and a wherry yacht. You can get involved with crewing or just relax, and everyone will have the opportunity to take the helm on Barton Broad. It’s a unique opportunity to sail one of these magnificent vessels that are a huge part of the Broadland heritage.

Look what appeared in our refreshment cake cabinet today. Our kitchen genie has been hard at work again. Don't forget our take away refreshments are open every day 11am to 4pm and there is seating outside.
If you're looking for something to do with your children over the first two weeks of the summer holidays why not join us on one of our children activities sessions - run twice a day. Summer Fun Days run twice a day with booking essential. All details listed in our events or on the Eventbrite page.
First job of the day finished just in time for the day visit coach to arrive. The fallen tree was blocking its path.

Both the House and Secret Gardens are open as well at our Takeaway Service (with outside seating area) from 11am to 4pm. We are sorry we had to close our public toilets earlier in the week. Unfortunately visitors putting dog poo bags down the toilets broke our system. All repaired and re-opened now but please could we ask you to put the dog poo bags in the bins provided.
We were wondering if any of your lovely people happen to have some owl pellets we can come and collect. We like to dissect them with the children who visit us, but we are running low.

It was looking a lot like Christmas at How Hill today when a group who should have had a Christmas meal in December accepted a new date after our building work caused delays.

It's official...The first Swallowtail Butterfly of the year was seen at How Hill today by Lizzy, who had opportunity to share this with a group of children staying with us.
