On Tuesday 3rd March a group of 12 year 5 & 6 swimmers (including one Year 4) attended the first ever OAT East Primary Swimming gala at the Hewitt Academy in Norwich. The team had a fantastic time competing in a variety of individual events and relays over 25 metres, against Ormiston Herman Academy and Cliff Park Ormiston Primary. All the swimmers showed plenty of determination to earn a well-deserved 2nd place overall. I was impressed with their effort and attitude, cheering on each other and the other schools.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of our pupils, parents, staff for their support in raising money for Children in Need.

We held a shop each day, selling some amazing Children in Need merchandise from our main office – Pudsey Ears, Keyrings, pin badges, wristbands – AND – some fantastic homemade hair bows (which were donated by Athena-Rose, Bippity Boppity Bows!).

We also had a non-uniform day – encouraging all to wear something spotty along with their Children in Need merch!

WE MANAGED TO RAISE AN AMAZING £264.85!

To: The Children, Parents and Staff at EDWARD WORLLEDGE ORMISTON ACADEMY

Thank you to all the children, parents and staff for your brilliantly organised Harvest Festival donation to The Well situated at Gorleston Baptist Church. We run a Pantry which assists those trying to manage family life etc. We also have a free breakfast on Monday and Thursday mornings, which run from 08:30 to 10:30 am.

Our donated food goes to running the Pantry:
£2 to subscribe and £4 for 12 items.

There is often free food outside, which is available to all.

Thank you so much for helping others in this borough who are struggling to make ends meet.

Godbless

Our Reception children enjoyed welcoming their parents into class for our Elmer themed story café.

Parents were shown how we share stories in class and introduce ambitious vocabulary. Children showed their families how we learn our sounds and what a good start they have made with their early reading skills. Well done Reception and a big thank you to all of you who were able to attend our session, it was a great turn out. Amazing support for our young learners already.
