♥ Exciting Week at the Great Yarmouth Bridge School♦

1. We have a Game tonight at 7pm remember no partner required. Ideally sign up on the Home Page but otherwise please arrive by 6.40pm if you need a Partner and 6.45pm if you don't have. All welcome and please tell others. We are now getting towards 7 and 8 Tables on our Sunday and Monday games - the More the Merrier.

2. Today Monday 2nd August we have 4 Boards of Play with Real Bridge and Simon Cocheme.

We have been offered an opportunity to take part in a Free Event arranged by Simon Cochemé in conjunction with RealBridge. Simon is the captain of the England seniors team, and you may have read his articles in magazines around the world.

We will be playing four boards selected by Simon to cover a specific topic, followed by viewing a video of him giving his insight into three of the boards, and access to his analysis of all four boards.

Come along today, grab a cup of coffee on the day and join us for half an hour to have some fun and hear Simon’s unique perspective on bridge.

PS I have been assured these hands should not be as complicated as the last one we did.

We will start at 2pm please log on by 1.45pm from the Link on the Top Left of the Great Yarmouth Bridge School titled SIMON COCHEME - again no Partner required and please don't worry whatever your standard. Also feel free to Invite Others - It Is Totally Free Of Charge.

3. This week in My Lessons on a Tuesday and Wednesday Morning I will be discussing Unassuming Cue Bids and Raising to the Level of The Fit - If you would like to join us to explore this Topic - Please e mail or give us a Call. Again please tell others who may be interested.

4. Sarah's Beginners Lessons on a Thursday at 7pm are now up to Week 13, and Lesson 8 - Responding with Weak Hands and Simple Opener Rebids - If anyone would like to Join her for a Refresher she has a couple of Spaces left.

5. Games This Week - all are Welcome - Come and be introduced to Duplicate Bridge with a Great Group.

With Autumn approaching John Barker (Great Yarmouth Bridge School) is proposing to start a new Beginners Bridge Group at a time to suit anybody interested in learning this wonderful game.

No longer do you need to travel to learn but with Zoom and modern technology all lessons will be in the comfort of your own home. The downside is he is unable to make you Tea and Coffee or supply the biscuits.

The lessons are fun and you will learn a Hobby which will last you a lifetime - Many Bridge Players are still playing in their 90's. But we also have some as young as 16 so Age is no barrier.
