Today we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6’s - they are fantastic children and will be missed! Miss Cook and Mrs Richards have loved their year with them and and very sorry to see them go. Good luck Year 6, we have no doubt that you will go on to achieve great things!

Stop! Ice cream time!

Congratulations to our children in Years 1, 2, 4 and 6 for their fantastic results in national tests, where Landywood has exceeded all published national averages in our BEST RESULTS EVER!

We are so proud of how hard our children and staff have worked preparing for these tests. To say thank you and well done, today the children were treated to ice creams from the ice cream van!

Year 2 have enjoyed a lovely surprise today ... ice cream ! Children were treated for all their hard work this year; especially during SATS. Well done Year 2 🍦

As you will have seen in the letter, we are excited to announce the launch of our partnership with Uniformd! We can now offer you an online platform to purchase pre-loved uniform for amazing prices! A school jumper for a quid? Yes please.

The website is very easy to use: Simply go to the shop, search Landywood and you will see all the options available. Once you have chosen and paid for your selected items, we will prepare your order and notify you when it is ready to collect! We can also send it home with your child upon request.

To make sure we can continue to offer you this sustainable process of reusing uniform, there will be a blue outdoor wheelie bin situated outside 1 Pine classroom for you to donate any outgrown or unused, good quality uniform items at any time throughout the year.

Our last Toddler Forest time for this term is happening tomorrow at 9.15am in the Little Acorns garden.

We will be having an exciting camping theme and a campfire to celebrate the end of another wonderful half term! 🔥

The children celebrated their successful year in Nursery with an indoor Garden Party.
We are all incredibly proud of them this year.

Nursery had a wonderful time at Cannock Chase Tanglewoods. They made dens for the teddies and all enjoyed a teddy bears picnic. Well done children.

Well done to our Reception class of 22-23! On Thursday, the children celebrated all of their achievements this year with a wonderful Graduation Ceremony. All of the staff at Landywood are so proud of the children and their hard work this year. As part of the ceremony, the children told us what they wanted to be when they grow up 🌟 Keep following your dreams, Reception! 👩‍🏫📕🤟👨‍⚕️

It is going to be an exciting but emotional few days here at Landywood! We’re not quite ready for it to end..!

What a brilliant Careers Day we have had! Today, we have spoken to 9 different visitors about their jobs and the skills that are needed to perform each one. We are looking forward to creating presentations on each of the careers next week!

Toddler Forest time today is all about a tiny snail and a great big Humpback whale.

We have a winning house team! Congratulations to all of the children who are in Dean House (blue team), as you had the most house point tokens. As a prize, you will be enjoying a whole day out of school on a trip to several exciting places. Well done. 👏🥇

Day 2 for Group 4 and they have been kept very busy!

Starting the morning off with a professionally cooked breakfast by Mr Clewer, Mrs Gavriel and Mr Holland, the children then went for another scenic, long walk.

After lunch, the children made some exquisite cakes and played on the soft play! Then came the moment the children had been waiting for… the water fight! It seemed Mr Clewer, Mrs Gavriel and Mr Holland had a target on them… were the children trying to tell them something? Who knows? Great laughs were had and many water guns were fired.

To finish the day, the children enjoyed a BBQ and some playtime. A great day to be remembered!

Yesterday, Year 4 had a brilliant day at the Museum of Cannock Chase! We went on the train to get to the Museum and had lots of walking to do too. We learned what it was like to be a victorian and a modern miner and even got to dress up as them! We had a great day and our excellent behaviour was commented on by both the staff at the museum and members of the public

Having extra time at residential has allowed us to fit in some pond dipping!

Group 3 are enjoying their last few activities before home time. We’ve all learned so many new skills this week! 😀

We have had a wonderful walk this afternoon to build up an appetite for pizza night!

Year 2 have arrived safely at their residential, we have unpacked and are just having lunch! We are looking forward to some fun this afternoon!

Year 1 have travelled back in time today to the 11th century! They were fierce, scary and brave Anglo-Saxon soldiers taking over the Norman castle, and they succeeded!
