πππ
We have been, cutting and squeezing this morning to make our own ice lollies to help cool us down this afternoon π
As a few of our Butterflies have been on holiday lately and have loved the beach over there we have created one in our tuff tray. This type of activity enables resources for the children to act out real life experiences with their friends βββ
As one of our Butterflies loves Disney we have set up a Rapunzel hair cutting tray for them to practise their scissor skills π
Preschool have been enjoying making their own boats, the challenge was to make one that can float β΅οΈπΆπ€π’β΄οΈ
Seed Exploration-Before and After π
Our Butterflies have found this activity really interesting this morning. We have been making predictions of what type and how many seeds are in each fruit/vegetable and then investigating to see if we are right.
This activity has lengthened our language and knowledge of different varieties as pomegranates, butternut squashes and cherries are new to us.
Exploring with our senses like this can encourage us to eat a wider variety at meal times too.

We have added spiders to our painting table this morningπ·πΌπΈπ·πΈπΌπ·
π¦ Our Butterflies π¦ have been enjoying their new interactive board we have made.
We added pegs and string so that they can strengthen their fine motor skills while removing and putting back the pictures during and after use.
We will use our pictures as reference points when talking about spiders, while we are trying to make webs, and when we are at the play doh table. ποΈ
We can even trace our pictures on the drawing table.....so many uses! π©βπ¨

A fun way to explore sensory play, our babies loved this activity π
We have some surprise presents waiting for our babies this morning in their tent. Our sensory basket is full of wrapped toys. We are trying to feel them guessing what is inside, and then using our fine motor skills to open them and see. We extended on this further by attempting to wrap them back up and giving them to our friends πππ This was very tricky but kept our little minds occupied for a long time π€©
We have been learning about how bees make honeycomb by recreating it using gloop and bubblewrap in our tray. Gloop is a lovely relaxing material to play with, it sets hard but then turns runny again with the heat of your hands ππ»ππ»π
