Our nurseries has been specifically designed to ensure that the personal, social, emotional and educational needs of every child is met to a high standard. Each room is devised into different areas so that materials and equipment can be used to support the themes, principles and commitments of the Early Years Foundation Stage. As a team we are dedicated to promoting a happy, loving, nurturing, yet challenging environment in which the children can play learn and develop. We feel that a good relationships with parental involvement and partnership working is essential to the running of the nursery. To accommodate this we operate an open door policy so that parents can come and talk to us about anything anytime, even outside normal nursery hours. We prefer an appointment system when parents come to view the setting or enrolling a child. This is so that there is a member of management available to spend time showing you around and so that there is no disruption to the children, however we are more than willing to show you around at any time if that’s what you prefer.

🧠 Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month 🧠

This September, LCM is raising money for Headway and our local Air Ambulance, two charities that supported our Baby Room Leader, Heidi.

We will be holding a tombola and raffle and would be very grateful for any prize donations.

🎁 New gifts, vouchers, chocolates, toiletries and toys are all welcome.

After enjoying The Gruffalo story together, we got creative and used playdough and a variety of materials to make our very own Gruffalos! 🐻✨

A lovely activity encouraging creativity, imagination, fine motor skills and storytelling, while having lots of fun along the way! 💜🌿

⚽ Week 2 – Canada 🇨🇦⚽️

This week at nursery we travelled to Canada as part of our World Cup learning journey!

The children enjoyed exploring some of the things that make Canada special. We discovered the Canadian flag, learnt about the maple leaf, looked at where Canada is on a map, and talked about some of the amazing wildlife that lives there, including bears, moose and beavers.

We explored Powwow traditions exploring music, drumming, storytelling and community celebrations. The children listened to traditional rhythms and moved to the beat of the drums.

What a wonderful way to explore another country, celebrate diversity, and learn about different cultures from around the world! 🌎❤️
