What a super busy fun week the children at Little Dunmow’s pre-school have had. We have had lots of spooky goings on! Making Pumpkin soup, decorating our wands and witches hats. We rescued spiders from their webs, saved the bugs from the gloop. Had fun apple bobbing and made some super spooky cakes!

The children at Little Dunmow’s pre-school had a visit from Dandara who are building new homes at the Orchard development in Little Dunmow. They provided the children with Cow Slip flower plants (the flower of Essex) the children had some messy fun digging in the soil, planting and watering the plants. We are looking forward to seeing them flower.

What an amazing day Little Dunmow’s preschool children had visiting Boydell’s farm on Tuesday. The children loved petting and feeding the animals. As the weather was beautiful they also enjoyed a picnic lunch and splashing around in the brook. Thank you to everyone at Boydell’s farm for such a fun day.

Today was all about our Little Dunmow’s dads. They were invited in to spend some quality, albeit hot, time with their children for a fun afternoon constructing using recycling products. Everyone was very creative, as our pictures show, and it was ice pops and cold drinks all round afterwards.

In celebration of St George’s Day the children have used cotton wool and tissue paper to make England flags. We talked about how George (the Goodie) took his sword and slayed the Dragon (the Baddie), and, in true mystic, fairytale style, everyone in the land lived happily ever after.
