What a night!
TGS Y11's celebrated the end of secondary school with their prom at the Colchester Community Stadium.
As soon as the night started, the dance floor was full and remained that way until the night finished.
As always, the students were a credit to themselves and the school. Congratulations again!
P.S. More photos of the night will be in the Portraits Newsletter on Friday.

Last week we said goodbye to our Year 11s.
After weeks of exams, it's finally time for their well deserved extended summer to begin.
You are all a credit, to both yourselves and TGS, for the outstanding effort and commitment you've made towards your GCSEs.
Now for the final hurrah with our prom celebrations tonight.

With temperatures forecast to reach around 35°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, before remaining in the low 30s towards the end of the week, we would like make you aware of some temporary adjustments to help keep students comfortable and safe whilst at school.
For this week, students may choose to wear their PE kit, including PE shorts, instead of their usual school uniform. Students who prefer to wear their normal uniform may continue to do so; however, blazers will not be required whilst in and around the school site.
We would also ask that all students bring a refillable water bottle to school each day and make regular use of the water stations available across the site. Staying hydrated will be particularly important during the warmer weather.
If students choose to spend time outdoors during break and lunchtime, we would encourage families to ensure they have
applied sun cream before school and, where appropriate, bring a hat to help protect them from the sun.
Staff will continue to monitor students throughout the day and make sensible adjustments where necessary. We will, of
course, keep conditions under review and update families should any further changes be required as the week.
