And suddenly we're into the last term of the academic year. Some of you will be preparing your little ones for their next big school adventure and may be wondering how you can support them in this.
Here is a great guide with loads of handy tips on how best to help them be more ready - things like independent dressing, using cutlery, and being able to communicate and build relationships.

📔World Book Day 2026 - Thursday 5th March 📔

World Book Day inspires every child to enjoy the life-changing benefits of reading for fun.

We have a book voucher for every child, so will be handing them out shortly.

We will be taking part in World Book Day celebrations this year, inviting the children to engage in a 'Bedtime Stories' themed day - or one of our favourites, a pyjama day!

If you would like to join in, please send in your child wearing their favourite pyjamas, with their favourite book, and we will read as many as we can throughout the day

🎉This week is National Apprenticeship Week 🎉

We have four practitioners undertaking apprenticeships of different levels;
⭐️Abi and Grace are studying their Level 3 Early Years Educator diplomas (which is the equivalent to 2 A Levels).
⭐️Holly is undertaking her Early Years Senior Leader Level 7 Apprenticeship (which is the equivalent to a Masters Degree).
⭐️Steph, one of our managing directors, is also undertaking the same Level 7, alongside a Level 5 apprenticeship focussing on the holistic child and their well-being! (Level 5 is the equivalent to a foundation degree).

✏️Staff Continuing Professional Development is really important to us as a business, and we're constantly working together behind the scenes to enhance our knowledge and understanding to best assist us in our roles.
Between us we regularly complete many courses, training and tuition, and the Apprenticeship programmes support this greatly✏️

Born on Wednesday 31st December weighing 6lb 7oz.

Congratulations Meg and Kyle. He's an absolute poppet. We can't wait to meet him!

🎄🌲Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree🌲🎄

Yesterday we decorated the Christmas Tree! Dressed in their pyjamas with Christmas music playing, the children worked together to create a festive masterpiece!

The children have full ownership of their tree and actively move ornaments around whenever they feel.
Some asked adults for help lifting them up when they needed to reach higher, some offered help and extra decorations to their friends, and some simply watched the lights twinkling!

🏆Springfields First Annual Tacky Bauble Competition! 🏆

Today we've been decorating the Christmas Tree (pictures to follow). To celebrate, the staff have scoured the shops for the tackiest bauble they can find.

Now it's your turn to pick your favourite!

To vote, choose which number you think is the tackiest (there's individual pictures of each one so you can have a closer look) and comment on this status (not the individual picture) which you think is the tackiest.

One lucky commenter will also get a prize of their own! Once all the votes are in, we'll pick a name at random, and that person will win their very own piece of tack too!

⭐️🎄CHRISTMAS TREE DAY🎄⭐️

Next Wednesday, 19th November, we will be putting up our Christmas trees and decorations! We invite any children that attend a Wednesday to dress in Christmas pyjamas. The staff will also be wearing theirs (because we love a reason for a pyjama day!)

If anyone has any Christmas decorations that are no longer needed, we'd love to add to our collection.

Keep your eyes peeled for a little competition we'll be holding too........
