Great Bookham School proudly transformed our main hall to showcase learning linked to the 'Our Oceans, Our Future' project. The children have been inspired by the wonders of the sea and are passionate about trying to make a difference in preserving the life that is hidden within. We were delighted to welcome other local schools to share their learning too.

Year 2 performed a wonderful class assembly all about The Great Fire of London. They sang songs, shared boxes that they made in DT inspired by Samuel Pepys and read their excellent non-chronological reports.

Year 6 netballers took part in a terrific netball tournament at
Manor House School, Bookham .They played against seven other schools and were extremely proud to gain an excellent 2nd place. Well done GBS!

We are incredibly proud of our Year 4 mathematicians who took part in a maths challenge at Christ's Hospital school in Horsham. Out of 75 teams, which represented 40 schools, our Year 4 team came first! 🥇

Children from Great Bookham School were incredibly lucky to take part in an amazing experience at Leatherhead Football Club . They were treated to a tour of the stadium, able to meet the players and have a penalty shoot out on the pitch at half time. ⚽

To kick off Schools’ Football Week with the English Schools' Football Association, we are excited to share that we have teamed up with Leatherhead Football Club who have very kindly welcomed 18 of our children to watch today’s match, tour the ground and be mascots. We are looking forward to working together to celebrate all that football brings.

Congratulations to our girls football team who played a match against Manor House with some players making their football debut. The girls played really well as a team and finished the game with a 3-0 win! We look forward now to the upcoming tournament. Well done girls!⚽️

Year 2 have been busy learning about the artist Jackson Po***ck. They were inspired by his style and had great fun exploring colour, texture and use of tools to manipulate paint.

Thank you to The Friends of Great Bookham School for organising a fabulous Christmas fair this year. One stall that was a big hit with our community was the Wonka Bar. There were lots of prizes to be won and 8 lucky children won hot chocolate with the headteacher. Needless to say everyone enjoyed the prize, including our headteacher!🍫🎄
