Great Bentley Pre-school

The children have loved having some chicks visit us this afternoon. They understood that they had to be quiet and gentle with them and were able to touch them. This promoted lots of language and discussions and the children loved it. 😊

Today the children have enjoyed harvesting and sampling some of their delicious vegetables that they have planted and been caring for 🥕🥗🍅🧅🥬
Today’s delicious vegetables which they had at snack were radishes 🫜 🫜
Not everyone was impressed with them 🤣 but most were willing to try them 😊

We are getting ready for Summer in our new planting area. New fences and planters have been installed over the Easter holidays and the children have enjoyed planting various vegetables. We are growing carrots, peas, cabbages, lettuce and radish. We are also growing strawberries in our hanging baskets and herbs in our pots. We will keep you all updated on our progress

Looking forward to seeing our little ones tomorrow afternoon for our Easter Assembly. This is open to all children and their families that attend the Pre-School and will start at 2:30 with doors opening at 2:25.
We will be having an Easter hat parade, an Easter egg hunt, and some songs that the children have been learning. Easter hats do need to be made at home and brought in with you on the day. Please see your news letter for further details 🐥

We are looking for a relief member of staff to join our team. The applicant needs to be flexible and able to work at short notice to cover staff sickness and holidays. We are preferably looking for someone who has either a Level 2 or 3 in childcare however we will consider an unqualified person too. Applicant must have experience in working with children.

What a lovely last week we have had, the children enjoyed a super party today, dancing and making Christmas crafts. Thank you all for your very generous gifts, cards and good wishes, we are truly grateful for your kindness. Have a lovely Christmas and we will see you in the new year 🎄🤶🎅 xx

It’s our last week of term and what a busy and exciting week we have 🎄🎅🏻
We start off with Christmas jumper week today, along with the first showing of our Nativity production this evening at St Mary’s Church. We then have our second showing tomorrow and our Christmas party on Friday 🎉🎈🎅🏻 this is all alongside the fun, games and activities we have planned in session.
