I am fully trained with Level 3 in Homebased Childcare, Level 3 Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 Food and Hygiene and Level 3 Safeguarding. I also have Elklan Level 3 Language and Communication for 0-3 year olds. I am continuing my development with courses through EY Smart and the New Skills Academy. I have my own car and all necessary insurances including car, household, and public liability. I live in Great Baddow, Chelmsford with my husband (who also has a full DBS certificate), our 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter. My home has an open plan area for the children to play with resources to suit all ages. I am able to provide school pick ups from Meadgate School and Nursery as they are very close to my house. I currently have availability to care for 2 school age children. In my previous career I was a qualified Drama Teacher also teaching English and Music. I enjoy all the arts so the children are able to have lots of fun with instruments, singing, arts and crafts, messy play, small world play and role play in my setting. I love to help children learn through play and have lots of experience in creating enabling environments for them to feel safe, supported and curious in their learning journeys. I love to plan activities to help the children develop and give them new experiences, and have lots of experience of assessing children's needs and finding imaginative ways to help them progress. I also believe that it is important to take the children outside into nature, on outings to parks and places of interest. Fresh air and exercise are an important part of growing up whatever the weather, we love going on bear hunts, adventures and exploring the world around us, especially puddles. If my settings sounds like it might be right for you and your child(ren) or you have any questions then please feel free to contact me. Thank you for reading about Ladybug Childminding. All the best,
Lainey
