🦋The Butterfly Room🦋
Our butterfly room is open to explore for children aged 2-4, between the hours of 8am-6pm. The day-to-day routine consists of activities that encourage different areas of learning and development, opportunities for independent play, nutritious snacks and meals, key group games that allow key workers to build bonds with their key children and support their learning and next steps, and plenty of time spent in the outdoors exploring the natural world, whether the children are planting flowers in our garden or building their confidence in the pond area!
We strive to provide not only high quality childcare, but a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to express themselves and build meaningful and positive relationships with their peers and the adults around them.
A short, virtual tour of what the room has to offer:
✨A cosy, open quiet corner with space to relax and plenty of stories for the children to enjoy, encouraging their communication and language skills and also their literacy.
✨A role-play area open for imagination and creativity, allowing the children to be whoever they’d like (and making the role of mum and dad look easy!)
✨A literacy and numeracy section to get the children’s brains working. They are always so eager to show off their handwriting and counting skills!
✨The small world area which encourages children to speak about their environment, surroundings and life outside of the setting, sharing experiences with their peers.
This room is a playground for children to explore, elaborate and develop new skills through play, experience and meaningful relationships, equipping them with the skills that they are going to carry through life - we feel privileged to be supporting them through such an important time in their lives🦋
