A little update for our new families 🥰

We have a few exciting updates to share following our previous conversations with families!

We’re hoping to be moved into our new setting by the end of September, legal processes depending 🤞, and we’re hoping to start offering care from Monday 2nd November 2026, after October half term.

This gives us plenty of time to arrange settling-in sessions, so your little ones can get to know us, the environment and their new friends before starting properly. ❤️

We’ll still be able to offer funded hours, but there have been a few changes to our model since we last spoke.

🌿 We are now a sessional, term-time-only setting

Our sessions are:
🕗 8am–12pm
🍽️ 12pm–1pm lunch
🕐 1pm–5pm

Funding can be used for up to 10 hours per day, with no additional fees. Families will just need to provide all snacks and meals, nappies, suncream and any other personal items their child needs.

Our private rate outside of funded hours is £6.50 per hour.

We are a 0–3 years setting, as we strongly believe children benefit from experiencing a busier, more structured environment in the year before they start school. It’s something we’ve experienced first-hand with our own son and is a big part of why we’ve chosen this model. ❤️

If you’re still interested in a place with us, please get in touch and let us know which days you require.

Please note that places are not held until a contract has been signed and a deposit has been paid. The deposit is then refunded once your child has attended their place.

We’re so excited about what’s ahead and hopefully welcoming lots of little ones into our new setting! 🥰✨

📦 We’re Moving! 🏡✨

We’re so excited to share that Keiller Klub Childminders is officially moving to Houlton, Rugby! 💙💛💚🧡

We’re currently working our way through the legal process, so we don’t have a confirmed moving date just yet. As soon as everything is finalised, we’ll share more details with you.

If you’ve previously contacted us about childcare, thank you for your patience. We’ll be in touch individually to confirm schedules and discuss the next steps as soon as we have a timeline.

Finally, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful current families. Your support, trust and kindness have meant the world to us, and while we’re incredibly excited for this new chapter, we’ll truly miss being part of your children’s everyday adventures. ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome both familiar and new faces to our new home in Houlton!

Schema number 1 - Transporting!

We had a really interesting training session this evening, learning more about schemas and how they support children’s learning, development, and understanding of the world around them. 🌟

Children often learn through repeated patterns of play and exploration, and understanding these can help us better support their interests and next steps. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing some of what we’ve learned, along with simple ideas and activities you can try at home to support your child’s learning in similar ways to how we do here.

Our World Book Day was messy and The Gruffalo themed!

The children loved scooping and mixing all of the Gruffalo’s favourite foods! 😋

We accept all government funded hours, starting in January.

🐝🕷️We’re Going on a Bug Hunt🕷️🐝

We saw a little bee today that was very slow and struggling to fly. Initially the boys were a bit scared but soon perked up once they saw the bee’s “tongue” dipping into the sugary water!
They were so excited about seeing this tiny part of a creature that they wanted to explore some more. Matt helped them to find and catch a spider (as both boys love Spiderman!) and we counted his legs and talked about the patterns on his body before letting him go.

Yes, they will be nervous. Yes, they will be shy. Yes, they will miss you!
But smiles like this don’t come from kids who want to go home. Smiles like this don’t come from kids that aren’t comfortable and happy in their surroundings.
