Just a reminder to all parents that the SEND Roadshow is taking place tomorrow at Northfleet Family Hub from 10.30am - 12.30pm.

The latest SEND Roadshow is taking place on Tuesday (21st July) in Gravesend.

📍 Where: Northfleet Family Hub, Hall Road, Gravesend, DA11 8AJ
🕒 When: Tuesday 21st July: 10:30am – 12:30pm
These roadshows give families the opportunity to meet with professionals and those working in SEND, to ask questions and find out about local SEND services and support. They are a great chance to access face-to-face support, connect with local services, share feedback, and learn more about what is available for children and young people with SEND in Kent.
There is free on-site parking and children and young people are very welcome.

More SEND roadshows will be taking place across the county, so please keep an eye on the SEND Information Hub and the KCC page for upcoming dates.

Year 3 recently enjoyed their school trip to Maidstone Museum to learn more about the Egyptians. We made our own canopic jars and learnt all about Mummification. A fun but hot day was had by all.

On Wednesdays we share top tips for understanding how to help keep your child safe when online.

The campaign called 'Wake Up Wednesday (what parents/carers need to know)' should give adults the information needed to have age-appropriate conversations with children.

The guide explores:
• Building oral language through meaningful interaction
• Supporting listening and attention
• Growing children’s vocabulary
• Sharing stories and naming feelings
• Working with settings to spot and support language needs
• Using evidence-based approaches to meet individual needs
With language developing rapidly between the ages of two and six, early support can make a lasting difference to children’s confidence, communication and readiness for school.
