WOW what a full packed last week of term.
All the children enjoyed the term 3/4 rewards at NSFG.
Thank you to all the staff and children who helped all the children have a great time.
Term 6 rewards will be bigger and better so let’s make attendance matter and make sure the whole school is involved.

It's essential for the children to feel comfortable and ready for action during PE lessons. That's why we kindly remind you to ensure that your child is wearing the correct PE uniform every day that they have PE.
As a reminder the PE kit is:
• Plain white t-shirt Black shorts (black jogging bottoms in the winter)
• All black trainers or plimsolls
• Black or Purple jumper/cardigan - Hoodies are not allowed.
• No branding should be seen.

Wearing the correct PE uniform not only ensures the safety and comfort of your child but also prepares them to actively participate in all the fun sports and exercises we have in store for them!
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries regarding the PE uniform requirements. We are here to help and provide advice for peace of mind.
As of Term 5, if your child is not wearing the correct Pe uniform then they will have to wear a class kit. We will then also follow this up with a message/phone call home.
Please help us to encourage our budding athletes to embrace physical education by wearing the correct PE uniform and boldly stepping into the world of sports!

It’s good to talk 💬❤ Whatever the problem, an honest chat - delivered with a little compassion - can help. This , the guide has expert tips on encouraging and maintaining open conversations with children 🤗

This week, is all about going to sleep! Here are some expert tips on helping children and young people to develop a healthy sleeping pattern 😴

Chair of Governors needed!

Copperfield Academy is looking to appoint a Chair of Governors for its Local Governing Board.

We have a highly effective board that is made up with a range of skills and backgrounds. We have a fabulously vibrant school community with the most wonderful children at the centre of our universe.

We are looking for someone who is confident and experienced in overseeing our Local Governing Board. Although experience in education would be advantageous, for someone with the right skill set this is not essential.

Further information about becoming a school governor can be found here:

Please email the Headteacher to express an interest, obtain further information or to have a tour of the school: [email protected]

This is an ongoing advert, closes upon appointment of a new Chair of Governors.

We all love a bit of tech but it is so important to take a break…here are some great ideas of activities you could do! This term children in Years 2,4 and 6 have been learning about Digital 5 a day, it’s a great concept designed to help wellbeing and keep a balanced digital diet!

On Friday, our Year 5 and 6 pupils had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a day full of activities based on future career opportunities. They looked at which jobs staff had done prior to working at Copperfield, spoke about their career aspirations and took a quiz to match their skills to a career path. In the afternoon, we were lucky enough to have 7 volunteers take time out of their day to come in and speak to the children about their jobs. We had architects, a fireman, a cruise ship director and many more! The children honestly had the best afternoon and learnt a lot about the different jobs they may want to do it the future.
Our volunteers commented on how well-mannered and well behaved the children were. They all listened intently, asked sensible questions and got the most out the activities.

We are so proud of all the children that took part and how well they represented our school.

Thank you also to our wonderful volunteers:

Jordan, Hollie, Sophie, Claire, Esther, Tanya and Tsiti.

Both Claire and Hollie run clubs/activities for children so please check out their pages. I couldn’t recommend them more!

Claire – Kiddleydivey Gravesend (Music and movement sessions. Inclusive to all.)

Hollie – Super Star Sports Da (Confidence building sports classes and camps.)
