Thanks to the generosity of Mountain Healthcare, our learners have received a valuable mental health book bundle.

Kelly, of Oliver's Little Kingdom (in partnership with Usborne Books), facilitated this sponsorship, where Mountain Healthcare, a company that partners with NHS England, police custody, and secure environments in sexual assault referral centers, chose our school.

This wonderful resource will be accessible to our students, providing them with essential mental health support.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭!

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Stuart Reid, a children's author, who has now written 9 childrens' books.

All students engaged with this workshop; reading and acting out parts of the stories, as well as learning more about how to develop their own creative writing skills!

Some students purchased books and got their books signed by the author himself!

𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭!

The VeloBuild Project is a completely practical, 'hands on' course that has proven very helpful for those students who have experienced difficulties with reading, comprehension or emotional and behavioural issues. The project is also amazing to support a young person's character development (eg. patience and resilience) as well as for those considering a career in certain industries (eg. engineering).

Student feedback suggests it gave them a real sense of achievement and pride in the ultimate 'finished article' together with the associated skills that they developed in the process.
The students were able to keep their brand new bikes!
