Gravenhurst Academy: This week we enjoyed our sports day at the village recreational ground and our summer performance called Pirates Verses Mermaids. They were all fabulous, and what a lot of fun we had! 😊

Gravenhurst Academy: This week we celebrated 10 years of BEST Trust. We had a lovely 'Lunch on our Lawn' where families came along and shared a picnic on our school grounds. Afterwards, the children enjoyed an ice lolly supplied by the Trust!

Gravenhurst Academy: Oak class have been studying Egyptians in their History Topic. They made Ancient Egyptian death masks out of clay. Death masks were placed over the faces of mummies so the soul could recognize its body and return safely. Once the clay had dried we painted them and they all looked fantastic.

Gravenhurst Academy: The youngest members of our school community- Acorn class have been busy with their topic 'Our World' and have enjoyed reading 'Dougal’s Deep Sea Diary’. The children then made their very own jellyfish! They have also drawn portraits of their Dads, to help celebrate Father's day this coming weekend.

Willow class have been exploring clay tiles in Art. They had the opportunity to draw and design a house, which they transcribed onto the clay. Once the clay had air-dried, they could paint their design. Look at how fab the tiles now look! 😊

GHA: Our Year 4 children had their leaver's trip this week and spent the day at Caldecotte Lake. They enjoyed a variety of water sports and land activities. Great fun was had by all! ☺️

Gravenhurst Academy: Today it was 'break the school rules day' where children could come to school wearing funky hairstyles, nail varnish and tattoos. The children got fined for every rule broken and raised funds for the PTA. Here are some funky hairstyles we had! 😃
