I was surprised with these beautiful flowers from a lovely parent, simply as a thank you for everything I do💐
As childminders, we don’t do what we do for gifts or recognition.
We do it because we genuinely care, because we love watching little ones learn, grow, laugh, and thrive. ❤️
But every now and then, a simple gesture like this reminds us that all the little things we do each day are making a difference.
It’s often the smallest gesture that have the biggest impact. Feeling appreciated means the world, and I am incredibly grateful to be trusted with such an important role in a child’s life.
Thank you to all the wonderful families who allow me to be part of their children’s journey. Your kindness, support, and trust never go unnoticed. 🥰
Being a childminder isn’t just a job; it’s a privilege, and moments like these remind me why I love what I do so much💛
Every child deserves to feel valued, and every parent deserves to know that their appreciation truly matters too.

We love to visit Imagination Town where the little ones explore the world of pretend play
The children become little chefs, fireman, policemen, vets and more, they have so much fun dressing up, role-playing and discovering new experiences while socialising with other children
These regular outings are such a lovely way to build confidence, imagination, communication and create special childhood memories

🌸 Spring has arrived at Sonia's Little Ones🌸
With all the beautiful flowers blooming around us on our outings, we were inspired to create our very own little garden 🌿
The children explored a fun painting technique using forks to stamp colourful flowers onto paper.
This simple activity supported:
✔️Fine motor skills
✔️Hand–eye coordination
✔️Creativity and self-expression
✔️Language development as we talked about colours and flowers we’ve been spotting outdoors 💐

🏴St George’s Day at Sonia’s Little Ones!
Today we’ve been celebrating through creativity, stories, and meaningful learning about this special cultural day. The children carefully coloured and cut their own bunting, practising their fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination.
We’re so proud to have their beautiful work now displayed around our setting Sonia's Little Ones

🌈 Colour, feelings & fun at Sonia’s Little Ones!
Today we explored colours through one of our favourite books, linking colours to emotions and the beauty of spring 🌼
We then went on a colour hunt around the playroom with lots of pointing, matching and excitement!
Learning through play always 🌟

☀️ Making the most of the beautiful weather ☀️
We love making the most of the dry, sunny days by getting outdoors and visiting our local park 🌿
Climbing, balancing, swinging and exploring the equipment supports children’s gross motor skills, coordination and confidence; all while having lots of fun!
There’s nothing better than fresh air, happy smiles, and learning through play 💛
What do your little ones enjoy doing outdoors?
